My money would be on 35+ but the way he's hit the past month who knows. If he continues that you could be talking 45-50.

Yeah, It really depends what Rizzo finishes the year. He does seem streaky and usually hits his homers in bunches, but he's been crazy the last week. He needs at least 15 in the last 64 games.... That seems pretty doable for him regardless.

Cubs will have some serious power in their lineup in 1-2 years.

Rizzo looks like he could hit 35-40 and will likely improve
Castro looks like he could hit 20+ as a SS
Alcantara while small could be a guy that hits 15 or so HR
Then Bryant, Baez, and Soler all have crazy power as well

12.6% in July

Might be low on that estimate. He had 10 homers in 366 PAs in AAA and and two in the majors in 43. Last year at AA he had 15 in 571 PAs in AA. As a full mlb season is 650ish depending on where you bat in a line up, you're probably talking more like 20 and with players ability to add power(see Castro) as they grow it wouldn't shock me to see him the 20-25 range long term. If the park factor were against him like say Petco for home games perhaps he'd be a bit lower but in wrigley it should up his numbers some.

I'm not sure I'd say streaky. If you just mean HR wise I can see that but his average and on base have been fairly steady throughout the year.

Not sure why these image tags aren't working but heres some graphs.

Saw this on Twitter. Rizzo has 25 HR this year and 23 last year.

All 48 of them have been solo or 2-R shots. Can't wait until we get some real major league talent up and down this roster

Most of talent will hit behind him. If anything he will have Alcantara and Castro 1/2 next year.

That's weird and sad. He could be the only guy to hit 50 HR's and have 70 RBI...

Coming out of (or in the middle of) a very hot streak, he has 25 in 98 games, with 64 games to go.

He is not getting anywhere near 50.

I love the guy, but c'mon!

Those guys are better than what most teams have to start off their lineup. Castro and Alcantara can get on base, and once guys like Bryant and Soler are behind him in the lineup he will get more pitches to hit

So after today, I believe Rizzo is 4th in the majors in HRs behind Abreu, Encarnacion, and Cruz with Abreu leading with 29 to Rizzo's now 25. All and all it's a pretty fantastic year for him. He's also 13th in the majors in wRC+.

abreu was on the 15 day dl

Ok? I wasn't really commenting one way or another on him just saying he was leading the league and one of the players with more homers than Rizzo.

You're not saying anything different than I did. Read what I wrote again. I said I thought he would get 35+ given he only needs 10 more. My point was that he's been quite hot lately and if that continued who knows. I didn't say that was likely to continue just that if it did there was a chance at those type of numbers. In july he's hitting .292/.361/.600 with 6 homers not including today's 2. That's 8 homers in 17 games. To suggest he could hit 20 more over 64 games isn't that outrageous. I don't think it's likely but clearly its possible. If he gets another 8-10 over the next month he has a solid shot at the 45 I mentioned.

Ok.. seeing Alcantra in CF again instead of Bonifacio who at 2B leads me to further believe Baez will be up playing 2B soon, possibly after deadline
