Sadly Florida has two teams, lol.

Tampa seems to have a decent following. The Panthers on the other hand are a joke. That city doesn't deserve an NHL team.

Shouldn't Wisconsin have a team before Florida? I'm pretty sure they'd fill the seats. Give Minnesota their name back too.

Hawks weren't going to lose game 7. If they're as determined, Tampa might get a game out of the series. I think it's a bad matchup for Tampa.

Tampa does fill the seats. If any of you good folks come down here, you will see it is first class.

It will be a great series. I see the Hawks in 7, maybe 6. It is a mistake to over look Tampa. They a good...real good. And will be for the next 5 years.

The presale code for Tampa home tickets is DAVEA.
If you live in Florida-- go for it.

Does Tampa have the Defencemen to Beat the Hawks?

I know the hawks are slim on the D side with only 4.5 defencemen playing in the finals but what does Tampa have?

They have these "triplets" i keep hearing about (and they aren't even related so what's the deal with that?)

Apparently they are super young too, but do they have a Bigfoot calibre player? Do they have a gritty guy like Shaw? Do they have a TWO time Norris Trophy Winner?

I'm really getting sick of posters saying "don't underestimate the Bolts because they are really good actually and they beat the Rangers." What do they have on Defence that the Hawks should be scared of?

They have one good DMAN. I think Hedman is a pretty cool guy. Eh scores goals and doesn't afraid of anything.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Here's what I gather on this series:

Both teams' O is head and shoulders above anything their D and G has seen in the playoffs thus far. They have speed that needs to be respected. Timmo should not see the ice at all our D should not give them anything easy. Our D needs to be going in under the assumption that if they can light up Price and Lundqvist, they can light up Crawford (Crawford is also better than Howard). Don't give them anything easy. On the flipside, our O has seen 2 netminders with better pedigree than Bishop (Rinne and Dubnyk--both Vezina finalists). Andersen was hot but doesn't have the reputation.

In spite of Dr. Craw being shellacked against Nashville and a game against Anaheim, Bishop only has .001 better of a SV%. Bishop has let in more goals, but has a better GAA than Crawford.

2 of their D outweighs Bickell. 4 of their D outweighs any D-man on the ducks--Staying in front of Bishop will be difficult.

I give Q the edge over Tampa's bench boss--Q does have the tendency to out-coach himself. Game 7 though was a perfect example of him staying inside of the OODA loop--Bruce "Curly" Budreau had no answer.

Tampa's Special teams are much better than ours--PP's won't necessarily convert and going shorthanded can kill us. Styaing out of the box will be crucial--especially for the Too Many Nen we tend to take.

Hits and Giveaways are pretty even, but we have a edge in Takeaways.

Our GF/GA are both higher than Tampa's--both a boon and a hinderance.

IMHO:

The key for the Lightning will be capitalizing on our mistakes--if the 'hawks have been anything in these playoffs they's been schizo. Games 6 and 7 against Anaheim are counterbalanced with a game 5. The wild series is ounterbalaced with the Nashville series.

The key for the 'hawks is going to be getting and maintaining posession--something they're designed to do. Hossa, Toews, Kane, Saad, and Kruger have been good at wresting the puck away from the opposition--they need to continue to do so. once they have it they need to keep it. The less the Bolts have the puck, the less they can bring their O and speed to bear.

All that being said, I think the 'hawks win in 6.

This unfortunately won't work. The pre-sale is limited to purchasers that have a credit card with a Florida billing address. I know...it sucks. These tickets are already gone, at least for the 1st two games. You have to go to the aftermarket anyway.

Stralman is good. At least the Ranger fans thought so last year. Garrison is ok too. Coburn is a good stay at home guy that they lacked. Hedman is excellent. Overall not as good as the Hawks top 4, but not bad.

Keep in mind, Bishop has faced the Red Wings, Habs, and Rangers. Three very mediocre offenses.

Hedman's injury affected him a tad, but I noticed that he's streaky like Sharp is when it comes to offense. Hedman will go 5 games without a point, then pot 6 assists in 2 games.

You don't really "pot" assists. But I think I get what you mean?
