Going around twitter right now like hotcakes in an Irish pub at 6AM, It Should Have Been Boynton has rolled grandmas, dogs, cats, and even Chuck Norris on the floor laughing. So while some of you are still wondering which Irish pub serves hotcakes at 6AM, I'm going to kick this thread off.



For the record, I actually like Boynton and appreciate his willingness to block shots.

Yeah, I agree and wish I hadn't participated in it. Some of the earlier ones seemed pretty innocuous and funny, but then they got less innocuous and very unfunny. Now I just feel badly for Boynton that this is apparently out there on Twitter (and I'm glad I didn't get involved in that).

He seems like a guy with a sense of humor, so I'm sure he won't care. Plus, he's in the NHL making decent bucks, and with Jenn Patterson. I'm sure life could be worse.

People want to rip Boynton.....who is a #5 Dman making 500K - which kind of helped the Hawks. Not sure who else is making that much in the league that's been asked to step into a top 4 role when Campbell was out, and has had to play more than expected while Hjarlmasson (3,5mil) and Keith (5,5mil) have both stuggles mightyly for stretches this year - after having stellar seasons during contract years.



Up until this point, he's averaged 17:49min per game - much more than I'm sure Q has wanted and more than he's expected. The last few games....he and Cullimore's minutes have been more where he should be - in the 12 - 13min range.



He has 53 blocked shots (11th in league), and is E with his +/-



Yes, he has 17 giveaways....yet Keith leads the NHL with 31



The guy is always the first player to jump in when a teammate gets run - Seabrook in his first game and Cullimore more recently. That has definately rubbed off on other Hawks finally doing the same. The guys not going to win a Norris anytime soon, but he's definately a character player for his teams, and I respect what he does.
