Jack Skille, Hugh Jessiman, David Pacan traded for Michael Frolik and Alexander Salak from Panthers

it's 9 games in there buddy. Give it some time. Not to mention he was competing with Booth for ice time. He was never my favorite player nor draft pick. That said I never disliked him or what he brought on most nights he was given a chance. Until last season, he was NEVER given the chance. And even last season he had serious restrictions on what Q would do with him. Q is a strange bird when it comes to coaching. I don't need to tell you that.



And if anything Stalberg has been given EVERY opportunity to pass or fail, which Skille NEVER got.

Your whole opinion of him seems to center on the fact that "he was never given a chance". What some of us feel that have a much longer history of him then your short term Chicago opinion is that he has never changed. He was never that player even at the AHL level. He was never that player for the Hawks and now he doesn't seem to be that player in Florida. You add to that his attitude and personality and Wa Lah, you have those that us that never saw him develop. Again, you can claim that he never had any personality conflicts while in Chicago and while that may be true (you would know better then I) I can tell you beyond a shadow of doubt directly to my ears by numerous people that he had those issues in Rockford.



Jack's one redeeming fact is that Dale is giving him another chance and likes him as a player and sees something in him that those of us over 3 seasons never saw of Jack. His other downside that will always haunt him in my opinion is that he went in the first round of the draft but has never become that player.

I look at Jack as a player that is being given a second chance, and if he doesn't progress, will just be another trading piece in the chess game that is hockey. Kind of like Sharp's second chance. For Sharpie, he took the chance and bloomed, leaving the garbage pile that he was headed towards in PA a distant memory. It's apparent with the trading of Booth, that nobody has a guarantee down there.

I don't give a rats ass what he does in the AHL. Brouwer had 40 goals in the A. As for Dale giving him a chance I've been down that road. If you don't think ANY number of NHL teams would have him on their 3rd and or 4th lines you are crazy! Those that slam him because of where he was drafted, well there's a lot of players drafted in the top 10 that never pan out. Will Jack, who knows. He was never given a role in Chicago that I can say 100%. He was never that player in Chicago, and was NEVER given that chance.



As for the personality crap, yea well, when you have an actual "player" tell you that, let me know.

Agree and Dale would not be the only one taking a chance on him, and very well may not be the last. Anyone thinking that doesn't know much about hockey and or the Depth of the NHL.

But it didn't because in a discussion, especially like this, it often goes in many general directions. His "former" teammates were sticking up for their CURRENT teammate. Skille plays a whole 4 seconds less even strength than Kopecky in Florida. What is killing Skille's ice time is the fact that he doesn't PK or PP. He's only 24, so he has some time yet. He's not doing much in Florida, but he hasn't even played 25 games there, has he?



Regardless, he never did anything to hurt the Hawks, as he never played enough to matter. So I really don't understand the dislike for him from some people. It's like saying you hate Colin Fraser....

He did nothing either way. My opinion of Skille is, who gives a ****? And it's stupid to rip on him, because he doesn't play here anymore, and has zero effect on the Hawks. Why don't we just pick random scrubs from around the NHL and rip on them? What the **** is the point? This forum is HAWK TALK and he's not a fucking Hawk.
