Wait wait wait... what? Why should Skille not being on the Hawks anymore magically change how anyone feels about him, whether they liked him or not? Everyone here still loved Ruutu, Ladd, and Buff and Steeg to an extent. Everyone still hates the Pylons that finally went away. And everyone is still impartial to guys like Pahlson and Madden just like when they were here? IF people didn't like Skille while he was here, why should we change our opinion of him when he's gone, especially having not done anythign yet to do so?

I hurried home to type exactly this.

He sucked when he was here and he sucks now.

Awesome contribution.

It was, actually.

I could have regurgitated the same thing that Mass wrote, but he summed up my exact thoughts.

wonderful.

I'm not a huge Skille fan but fail the need to slam him as he "sucks". I'll let all the other ones in life that are so successful do that.

Hey, don't let me stop you from your irrational hatred of a player that never did anything good, nor bad, when he was with the Hawks. I just find it funny that Skille doesn't even play here anymore, yet, people continue to look for reasons to make him look bad. Who gives a ****? He's on the Panthers now. Let it go.

That's the reason for the visor

Yea I'm an idiot and forgot that I had actually saved this picture a week ago. I knew Ladd wouldn't go soft and don a visor.

Here's on badass shot that just makes me wanna kill things when I see that he's not in an IndianHead sweater.

except he's not sucking in Florida. Is he putting up points? no. Is he doing a lot of things that helps a team win? yes.

his biggest problem was that he was a 7th overall pick the year Crosby, Price and Kopitar was drafted. He didn't draft himself though, so I don't see how that is his fault.

I look at him as a Mike Peca type player. Serious shutdown player, who can throw a big hit.

No, he's not putting up points. 1 assist through 11 games.

Serious shutdown player? Seriously? -3 so far on the season.

None of those things will help his team win.

I just said he isn't putting up points. So you agreed with me in your rebuttal?

yes, he's -3 in Florida. he's -3 on a team that only has five players who aren't in the minus.

hey, Duncan Keith was a -1 last season. Brent Seabrook hasn't been a plus player since the cup year. They must be garbage, and don't help the team win, right?

+/- is not a revealing stat unless you're deep in the minus, or deep in the plus.

then again, most people don't bring up +/- at all unless it backs their arguement.

I just brought it up because you inferred he's a "serious shutdown player", which he's not. And since he's not contributing offensively either, what exactly is he doing to help Florida win?

He's the same player he's always been.

shutdown player on a bad team. Andrew Ladd is considered a shutdown player, but was a -10 last year. Manny Malholtra is a shutdown player, he's a -6 this season. Kesler is a 0 Datsyuk is a -5...over the last 3 seasons John Madden is a -18! the last three are Selke winners btw.

and what is "he's the same player he's always been"???

yup. You can make +/- make anyone look like god, or look like shit.

Nick Boynton was +2 last year in Chicago. Why did everyone hate him?

Let the record show that this the first (and likely the last) time in the history of earth that Skille and Datsyuk will be mentioned in the same post.

Kesler, Datsyuk, and Malhotra are generally plus players.

Madden hasn't been for a while, but tends to play against team's better liness...The essence of a shut-down player.

Skille is a fourth line plug that plays against other team's fourth line plugs.

He wouldn't be in the NHL if it weren't for Tallon.

your dislike for the boy is really showing, I'm starting to wonder what he did to you.

The kid is an NHL player, face it. Luckily for you he's been traded so you really only have to watch him once a season.
