Frolik had some chances today, he looked pretty good.

Agreed. Especially with how shitty Kopecky played. Fucking turnover machine.

What do you expect he was playing Center. He's just not a good Center. Barely a top 6 Winger IMO.

I thought Frolik had a good game.

Yeah, he's a horseshit center, and I agree on the barely a top six winger. He just doesn't think the game fast enough, and makes poor decisions with the puck. He's only top six when playing with a healthy Hossa. Kopecky should ultimately be on the third line. Hell, he played mostly on the fourth line last season. The team just has holes this season that can't be filled because of the stupid fucking bonus penalty. Things will get better next season.

Not to derail the thread, but since it's already had Pauls poop, I guess what the ****.

Will Kopeckey be here next year. What will they do with Hossa's boy toy? They can certainly upgrade here for a few $$. Do they resign him or part ways.

I think he's a good player, just played out of his role on most nights like you say. He does something no one else on this team does consistently. Same thing he was doing on Sharps PP goal tonight. Something Buff did very well last year that we MISS in a huge way right now. Standing in front of the net taking abuse. I'd prefer Toews not do that. For obvious reasons.

Will be interesting to see what transpires with Kopecky.

He's currently 4th on this team in pts. Ahead of guys like um HOSSA, Brouwer, Bolland....

10g 22a.

His +'/- is right about at the point where it gets concerning but then again so is Sharps since it's the same.

Kopecky is our best player in front of the net. I don't want to hear the name Brouwer, he works the front of the net but not nearly as good as Kopecky. Of course, other areas of his game do lack.

If Kopecky walks we have to have a replacement that can work the front of the net, no question.

You don't go deep into the playoffs without 3-4 guys that are willing to go to the net, and do what Buf did, and what Kopecky does most of the time. We need to get much tougher in that regard. It was honestly the difference between us and everyone else last season. We had so many guys willing to do whatever it takes. Most of those guys are gone.

Bickell and Skille were suppose to be those replacements. Brouwer and Kopecky were suppose to step up into more prominent roles to fill the shoes of Buff/Ladd. Unfortunately, it didn't really work out like that. Although Brouwer and Kopecky have been effective in front, Bickell and Skille didn't really seem to fit that role. I like what Bickell brings to the table though, but if he isn't going to be that guy in front then someone else needs to do it. Obviously Skille isn't here anymore, maybe a good reason why is because he wasn't "that" guy either.

Get Kopecky out of center, and keep him in front of the net, and we wouldn't be having this conversation. I don't see him being a fourth line guy, but maybe a third line winger with Bolland and Bickell.

Knowing how he was in Rockford and how teammates liked it when he was gone, it is the only question mark I have about Dale's team he is building in Florida.

No skills Skills, good riddance. The fact two former teammates took him on must mean something. Maybe not.
