Apparently Salak has no interest in pursuing a career in the North American game. We'll see if that changes at any point, probably a big reason why he was a "throw in" for this deal.

Where did you get that info from? From what I understand, he went back to play in Europe because he was too far down the totem pole in the Panthers' organization, and wasn't going to get the playing time he needed to advance his game.

Frolik is not a LW, he is a RW. It's up in the air on whether or not he will be successful at center or LW.

Even if he is just a RW, maybe he'll have some chemistry with Bickell/Bolland. That could be a pretty damn sweet line.

Much more realistic that he plays on the 3rd line than with Kane and Toews like most are suggesting. I also doubt he plays with Kopecky and Hossa unless he can handle playing center, which so far in his career he has not excelled in that area.

This potential scenario reminds me of a pretty good line we had a couple of years ago.

Ladd- Bickell

Havlat- Frolic

Bolland-Bolland

Bickell and Frolic are'nt close to Ladd/ Havlat but given that Bolland has really stepped up his game some similar type chemistry could develop.

I agree with Pez, where are you hearing that Ton.

I hope you don't blurt out from the Panthers board. I am beginning to wonder about most of those posters.

Per TSN Ice Chips Frolik will wear #67 in the Indianhead tonight. "Unofficial" depth chart at the O-board has Frolik centering Kopecky and Hossa.

I am happy for Jack but I try to refrain from making comments to another teams fans about their new player especially on their site. I find it in bad taste unlike other supposed fans posting there. Who knows, maybe

the change of scenery and being under DT again will make a big difference in his career. Obviously he sees

something in Jack that wanted him there as part of his system he is establishing.

You guys are right, doing a bit more research the past few days it looks like he enjoyed his time in North America. Those Panther fans were talking out of their ass, I guess I know not to take their word for anything else. WTF is wrong with me lately anyway? My posting has been so off, I should just quit it for a few days until I get back to normal.

Salak looks like a fine pick-up, he is very confident, energetic, and cocky -- could be a good thing. His fundamental skills are also impressive, his technique looks to be second to none. Combined with his talent, he's probably a better pick-up than Frolik.

Not sure why Dale would give him up if he wants to play in North America. I understand Markstrom is the future, but Dale had no problem keeping both Niemi and Crawford.

I would say that's true for a majority of Hawks fans post 2007.
