your dislike for the boy is really showing, I'm starting to wonder what he did to you.

The kid is an NHL player, face it. Luckily for you he's been traded so you really only have to watch him once a season.

How in the hell is being critical of a player's performance showing "dislike for the boy"?

What's he done to me? He sucked as a player for the team I care about.

That's why I dislike him. I don't know him personally, so that's all I have.

I'm ecstatic that the Hawks get to play against him...I wish they played against him more often.

He was never played in the correct role here, nor given a fair shot due to the depth on the team. I also disagree he's "only in the NHL because of Tallon". You have no clue to make that statement. There are MANY teams in the NHL that lack depth where Skille would fill in.

Hater always gonna hate. Rex you are wasting your time.

I don't like Stalberg, but if he can use his speed the way he's done so far this year and generate shots, I'll sleep with his picture under my pillow.

Hate is a strong word. Don't hate Skille...Don't know him.

I hate his play and always will.

Well Skille certainly wasn't given the opportunites Stalberg has been given, but I do think one they are different types of players and two Stalberg ultimately has more offensive talent.

Either way this entire discussion is a waste of time. There are many teams in the NHL Skille could be getting ice time for. Specially shut down time. He was never playing here on the 3rd line. Not going to happen.

Always loved the effort Skille gave. Has blazing speed and plays physical. Hands aren't great and agree he never really got a shot here. I think he will always be regarded as overhyped/underacheiver because of how high he was drafted.

I think this is a pretty good post and probably one of the more accurate of the discussion.

Serious? A shutdown type player? The guy has 1 point despite being 4th on the team in shots, and almost last in time on the ice at just under 13 minutes. So he's barely on the ice, but when he is he shoots the puck. Yeah, sounds exactly like the Jack we knew and loved when he played here. But he's got those 17 hits and 7 blocks!...

That makes him a combination of Carcillo, Sopel, and Bolland, I love him, he's definately an all-star.

He's exactly what he was here. And you can talk about how misused he was here, but he's in the exact same roll there, and now he's magically a winner? Look at the game log, his ice time is decreasing, just like it did here, enough said. All Hail Dale.

Why not, it's as random as the defense of Skille and the made up stardom.

Not one fucking person has said he was a Star. Not sure what the **** you are talking about. Must be at the bottle again.

Serious Shutdown player, comparing him to all sorts of players, he'd be better for a different team (not all from you I know)? When he was traded, everyone said Florida was the perfect opportunity for him to find his legs, compete on a team that didn't have much talent, and really get a shot at playing his position. Well none of that happened.

it's 9 games in there buddy. Give it some time. Not to mention he was competing with Booth for ice time. He was never my favorite player nor draft pick. That said I never disliked him or what he brought on most nights he was given a chance. Until last season, he was NEVER given the chance. And even last season he had serious restrictions on what Q would do with him. Q is a strange bird when it comes to coaching. I don't need to tell you that.

And if anything Stalberg has been given EVERY opportunity to pass or fail, which Skille NEVER got.

He was given 13 games of a whole lot of ice time after the trade last year, then an entire off season, an entire camp... and then the benefit of the doubt to start the season, and his ice time has declined... again.

Florida sucked last year, it was a new team, transition period... whatever excuses you want to make, he's still the same player he was last year, and the same player he was that paved the way for him being traded. He's not a bottom of the lines guy, and doesn't have the talent for the top lines. Kinda like Stalberg who I'm still not sold on.

He was injured shortly after being traded to Fl. I was referring to here, more so than there. He'll get a chance there.

He played most of the season in FL injured. You obviously weren't paying much attention yet still have a opinion. He plays on the 3rd and 4th line as well. Would you like to tell me how much ice time our 4th line players get? I would say less than 13-15 minutes per game.
