Fucking Special person thread.

Any chance the reason Cutler looks so good is because he isnt being asked to do too much?

This is what it takes to get good play out of Cutler. Get used to it.

this is how fox's teams are run.

Run, Run, Run, then maybe pass. Keep opposing offense off the field. Only go pass-heavy when you're down and theres little time on the clock.

get used to it. nothing is changing while fox is here.

Well. Get used to it. We are doomed. **** the McCaskey family.

This is exactly how you want to use Cutler. Just like the Cowboys did with Romo last year. Of course, it works a lot better with an elite running game and a stout defense.

Cutler is playing his best ball of his career and the Bears are wasting it with shitty play calling and a inept defense. Bears should be 4-3 right now instead of 2-5. Man oh man. Base will be here another year. Good coaches are supposed to win these games. Not lose them.

The reason he's playing so good is cause we are limiting him. How can't you guys see that. That was the plan when Gase got here. Run a lot and limit cutlers mistakes

Right now Cutler is throwing the ball 35 times per game which is 2 less attempts than his average of 37 under Trestman last year. Cutler is 25th in yards, 26th in yards per game, 22nd in completion percentage among qualified QBs, 25th in TD passes and 23rd in YPA among qualified QBs.

I am happy that he has cut down on the turnovers some but he is statistically below average in most major categories and the Cutler-led Bears offense is 27th in PPG with 20.

I dont expect much but tbh i think it would be better than that if the O had been more healthy. Especially the Oline

He's the exact same quarterback he has been in the past from a statistical stand point. The only big difference is the fumbles, maybe someone got through to him.

I understand the cynicism regarding Cutler but his pocket presence and decision making is probably the best he has ever done for our team. Given the dearth of QB's available to our Bears why not indulge in some optimism that he may be turning a corner in his career. Is this so hard to accept when you take into account the patchwork oline and winning games without his best wideouts? Some people are slower learners than others. That could also include some posters around here.

It was to protect us from what has been an intense Viking rush with a questionable Oline. Jay now has targets and they'll air it out more when they think they can give him time. That showed in the 2nd 1/2 when Gase was more comfortable with the protections.

Some people just don't get it. He is playing much better because they are controlling him. Ridiculous if you think anything else.

I will say though that his pocket awareness is 1000% better, but I have been saying that all year. Speaking of saying things, I didn't see it but somebody just texted me and said that Lockett just got clobbered and got taken off the field on a stretcher.

Very misleading use of stats there buddy. First of all, you can't count counting stats against him when he's missed a game and a half. Of course he's 25th in yards, he's missed a game and a half. That 20 ppg includes 6 quarters of Clausen scoring 3 total points. Bears are scoring about 25 ppg with Cutler on the field (would be 11th in the league). Also, 26th in yards per game includes the likes of Roethlisberger, Romo, Geno Smith, Matt Hasselbeck who have all played 3 or fewer games and includes guys playing worse than him like Peyton Manning, Stafford, Bradford, and Cousins (Rodgers is 21st in this category FYI).

Coaches have Cutler playing his best ball since 2011 and people on here think there is a problem? wtf.

Do you not have eyes? How bout those play calls the entire game? It is a sham of a coaching staff. Fox is bad and gase is worse. Elway was right in firing Fox.

Did Gase forget that Bennett can catch a pass if it is thrown to him? Total mismanagement of a football game.
