This feels like beat reporters being convinced by a practice he had that they didn't see, then him going through a walk through (which is meaningless because there's basically no physical exertion).

I still think week to week and NP Wednesday and Thurs is the most relevant thing I've seen
Forget his name but Washington’s ESPN beat reporter seems to think it more likely but who knows.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
Well... the spread is down to Bears -1.5 on FanDuel. That's a pretty big shift, that feels like a "50/50 chance at playing" hedge (I think it goes to a pick'em, or the Bears very slight dogs if he plays).

Maybe they'll just have to go with the peanut punch to the ribs method that @BaBaBlacksheep suggested. Just going for the ball, of course.

From The Athletic:

“1 vs. 2 — Caleb Williams vs. Jayden Daniels — in doubt

Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels will tell you he knows why fans can’t wait to see the top two picks of the 2024 draft face each other for the first time, but he says he’s just focused on getting on the field. Daniels has been getting around-the-clock treatment and is still fighting through lingering pain in his rib.

Players know that time off is the best healer, but the rookie is trying to return on Sunday. So how will the decision be made? I’m told it will be a collaborative decision from GM Adam Peters, head coach Dan Quinn, team doctors and team training staff. There will be about five voices helping make the call, and I expect them to take this right up to game time.”

If he doesn't play, then all this noise about him playing the last couple days was to keep intrigue in a game the NFL flexed to game of the week

This controversy is a win/win for WA. Bears still had to plan for 2 QBs this week regardless of who plays. I've always felt that Daniels will start the game but obviously just a guess.

The line has zero effect on him playing or not and if he is playing injured, the line wouldn’t move. You can make an argument that him not being at 100% is actually a detriment to the team if he can’t play the position how he wants.
So, the line moved to the Bears +1. He’s going to play and he is definitely still injured.

The line tells the story most of the time.

Let’s see how he feels when Gervon Dexter and his well defined glutes comes steaming in like a freight train ready to destroy whatever is in it’s path.

Let’s see how he feels when Montez Sweat and his glistening biceps come screaming in at him Ike a lion after a gazelle.

Good luck with that flak jacket stopping any of these Bears defenders with their chiseled physiques carved out of granite.

Jayden and His 12 year old noodle arms should be shitting himself knowing he will be steppi g on the field with these Adonis’

according to my sources, which seem to be far more informed than you, I beg to differ
Would that be a good decision against a good Bears defense if Daniels is not 100% and with division games coming up?

I am with JJ on this one, he does not care who starts. He just wants to kick their ass and go home.
