Right....CW has no good receiving targets. Just watched a guy lead his team to 38 points. More than CW, more than JF....sorry
It's funny how you use the word points and not win in your posts. So, you are a Fantasy Football expert who thinks he knows football. Robin Earl photo....lol....Seriously.. Robin Earl? I mean to each his own, but that says plenty of your mindset. Keep posting, I love more comic relief on this site.

So we have to do this again where a bunch of meatball casual fans judge QBs as individual competitors rather than members of a team? Give Daniels our offensive line and he'd be RG3'd out of a career within 6 games.

Still continuing your crusade because Justin Fields wasn't it? Jayden Daniels wasn't on your radar either
No, he wasn't and im completely fine admitting that because unlike most here, i dont just blatantly lie about everything. I wanted Drake Maye. i've been on record on that for like a year now. But just because i didnt want Daniels doesn't mean i cant laugh at all the squirming and coping going on by the usual suspects.

@Anytime23 will have the last laugh, though. Just think about how much young Drake is learning sitting behind Jabroni Bischoff or whatever his name is and running the scout offense in practice where iron sharpens iron.

Maye was my first pick as well. Was fine with trying the "Mahomes clone" but leaned more towards Maye

You just put in four consecutive posts of responding to me. I am confident of my football opinions. Of course, they aren't all correct. But I try to base them on logic. Not sure what you base your posts on other than being triggered. Will Jayden crash to earth? Possibly. But I can only comment on what I see.

A QB can't really control his defense. That said, Jayden Daniels is 3-1 for a team that went 4-13. I'm not sure what your point is with any of this.

My point is you seem to be more on stats than team play. That I always have a problem with no matter who makes that argument. 4 games and people (not only you) are making comparisons about 2 players whose careers just started. I think it's premature to judge these two. Let me ask rhetorically....Would you rather have a QB who is going to win more Championships or throw for more TDs in his career? Idk which of these two guys will be the better QB in the long run, but I do know which one I want to win more championships. Maybe I'm wrong, but you seem to emphasize stats over victories. That annoys me, but I admit it's a personal problem I have in life........lol....

I think its easier to judge a QBs performance by stats because 'wins' takes into account a lot of factors that are outside the QBs control. But I get it, we all have our problems....

I wonder if Caleb is closer to 6 foot .... if not 6 foot even.... I wonder if they measured from the top of his Fro. As a black man myself who used to have a similar afro to Caleb's, that used to happen to me countless times. I say "used to" because after I graduated law school and passed the Bar exam, I cut my hair much lower. But before that I would always get an extra 1 1/2 inches, 2 inches on my height measurements due to my hair.

During the game Mark Sanchez said, quote, "they are trying to keep him in the pocket to cloud his vision because of his 6 foot height". This is the thing I see and have been mentioning since the opening game for Caleb - how short he looks and how he appears to be having difficulty "seeing" to the next level -- which may account for some his badly missed down field throws.

This bears watching moving forward. I hope this is all an aberration and is a part of his adjustment process but it definitely bears watching. And this is one of the reasons I had Daniels (6'4") slightly ahead for the #1 pick.
Not that height is the end out be all, but the shorter the QB the more difficult it will be for him, and they would have to make up for it in other areas, like moving out of the pocket. CW was list as 6'-1" at USC, which means he is probably just under 6'0"? Not sure how he measured 6' 1-1/8" at the NFL combine?

Agreed. He definitely can overcome his height limitations.... and I believe he can do it. Russ, Baker, Brees, etc. just to name a few, have all done it. But it will take more work and it will take better game planning and play calling to get him open looks -- all things that are possible -- but with the Bears?? With this inept franchise? I have my doubts. Way too early to give up on him though.

Btw, last thing it will take? "Patience" from Bear fans and the media. Not going to happen - in this city, the honeymoon won't last for long. Especially when you have been unfairly billed as being close to the next coming of Pat Mahomes.

I will add that the one thing he has going for him with respect to the media hounds coming for him.... is they wanted him... and took victory laps for weeks after we got him. Those guys NEVER want to appear to be wrong on something..... so Caleb's leash will be longer than most. They are going to blame everything under the sun before blaming Caleb.

And, in truth, there are problems - the Oline sucks, the coaching sucks, etc. But these were all things that sucked under Fields too (and Mitch to a lesser extent), and the media did not care because they wanted those guys out. If this keeps up, at some point we have to circle back to Caleb as the common denominator in all of this.

The height thing though... that was a bit a shocker. You can literally see the difficulty he is having seeing to the next level. The coaches are going to have to help him out.

That's funny I don't look at the QBs stats because a lot of factors that are outside the QBs control. That's why my default is always..."it's a team game." but that's individual choice. We both use the same reasoning for our pov's....

I guess I don't understand the question. He was measured at the combine at 6'1". It's the official NFL measurement using their standard measurement methods for all prospects. Sorry it doesn't fit some narratives, but that really is how tall he is.

Yeah, there are always ways to skew the numbers. Some guys have great stats at the end of the game because their team was trailing so much that he was passing against a prevent defense for a quarter+. But the reality is the qb and team played like crap and lost the game.

The other one I find interesting along those lines is when they talk about certain guys having so many come from behind wins. Which on one hand is great that they find a way. But the other side is...what about playing well from the start and having and protecting a lead for the game.

So yeah, all kinds of ways to manipulate the numbers

He actually measured lower at his pro day afterwards. Just under 6'1

i'm not concerned with his height anyway

Still not under 6 foot like the other guy said. I have been slightly concerned. Prefer a couple more inches but I'm sure he will adapt. That td pass to DJ Moore he was about engulfed to the point where he couldn't see anything.
