Of all the yetifelching quumfers to score the game winning goal...it *had* to be torres.

I know right? I was still worked up about the Burrows crap and it didn't sink in until later that Torres had scored the game winning goal. Sooooo ill right now!!!

And the worst part is he didn't even do anything. RK could have scored that goal for god sakes. Easy tip in.

The Canucks luck still roles on. Thought it would be different this series but there it is.

Chara needs to do it. I love the fact the Bruins did what they could to put his big frame in front of Lou's face, but he needs to get aggressive with that frame and annoy the crap out of Luongo, just like Buff did when he was a Hawk.

If Chara can do that, the B's PP can roll again and they could score easily on Lou. They have the team to do it, and I seriously believe the Bruins can win this series just on game 1's antics alone.

If Chara does ANYTHING after the whistle or runs the goalie he's going to get heavily penalized. I could not believe how subdued he was all game last night. After every whistle the Canucks were punching him or crosschecking him or facewashing him and he didn't react at all. I really am surprised he didn't make Bieksa fight him at the end of the 1st period when Hamhuis and Bieksa were both punching him and face washing him.

I know he shouldn't do anything after the whistle, but letting Canucks hit, slash, knock him around isn't helping either, and the refs were calling penalties like crazy, especially in the second period. Its almost like they wanted orgies in the penalty box...

Hell... What if he never got those calls going for him? I hate to say it, but in order to beat the Canucks, the Bruins need to do what they're good at and also take embellishments up a notch. Hell, dive for god sakes... Its not like the Canucks weren't swan diving throughout the game.

In Chara's case, you can use your body for what its worth and NOT get a penalty. It just involves common sense, which was something Boston lacked a lot of last night. Just ask Peverley.

Chara has the hardest slapshot in the game and he is screening the goalie, why? Put him on the point, you don't need to be that big to successfully screen a goalie. The Bruins PP was shit. AV isn't an especially good coach, Juline might be worse.

Chara may have the hardest slapshot in the game, but I love Julien having the balls to put Chara's ass in Luongo's face. He's 6'9", for pete sake. Why wouldn't you take advantage of that frame?

Boston's second biggest guys are Lucic and McQuaid at 6'4". Luongo is 6'3", so having Chara act as a power forward may be awkward, but it sure would be annoying. As we've learned in these finals games, it never hurts to have an agitator or two in front of the net at times. Just make sure they're not stupid about it.

If I were Julien, I'd keep to the same tempo of game and same plans... Just don't take stupid penalties and they should win in game 2 as long as they don't. The Canucks were just lucky on that offsides goal. That game should have been won in overtime.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
That's the big problem I have with Chara. Even during the Olympics...he seemed to dissapear. If nothing else he needs to get an edge and play with a slightly more mean streak--kinda like how Scott was a lot beter when he started using his 6-8 frame as an intimidating force. He's far too passive.

I do think overall Boston does need to step it up for Game 2. I know boston has another level they can go to, but--Vancouver looked like they were playing their best game IMHO. That's the only way they can win the series...

Oh, and Burrows? Biting and hairpulling...RK, is there any way to get the majority of the UC fans next year to throw mxi pads and tampons on the ice when we play them next year?

RK said it best last night on Twitter... the Canucks can just be described as "slime". Although I think that would be a compliment.

If we can get it sponsored by Tampax or something like that, I'm sure the ladies would get a joke out of it. I'd love to see this! LOL

Oh this was brilliant. The cover of the Vancouver Province today had the headline.

"Bite Me" With the story that the Bruins are a bunch of babies because they complained about Burrows "allegedly" biting Bergerons finger.

Really Vancouver? You have the rights to call out another team for whining and voicing a complaint? And it's still only "allegedly" even though video evidence PROVES it? I hope the Bruins use this as incentive tonight.

You know this supports my theory that it all starts with the media here and then trickles into the mindless fan base who eat up bias sports media with their very low grade reporters. The Bruins have to win this series for the sake of putting the local media here to shame.

Please Bruins..get this done tonight.

P.S. I respect Canadian media very much when it is world affairs related or grass politics etc. But when it comes to sports reporting the Canadian media needs to do a giant upgrade. We need someone in this city esp who is brave enough to go against the grain and cover the other sides and angles and to see their own two faced antics. Good luck with that.

He shouldn't be playing is right and he shouldn't have had that pp goal!!!

But the Bruins look like dung anyways. No life and they look disorganized...turn over after turn over. This could be a quick series if the Bruins don't find some jump to their game. I don't even think this Bruins team can win on home ice. Come on Bruins the Nucks are playing a guy with one eye for crying out loud.
