Lots of oil field/natural gas work in South Texas particularly for someone with a CDL.

The problem with that is you have to live in south Texas.

I kid. But there is no hockey there. How do you survive?

I wish I knew what pay grade 9 was. I could do that job, I practically do all that now, save for a few things. I wouldn't want to apply and waste their time if I am hesitant to take it because the pay. Living in Round Lake and driving down to Downers Grove would require a lot of fuel, and that is quite pricey nowadays.

Just like the one I sent you - what does it hurt to at least apply? If you don't take it, you don't take it... I seriously wouldn't worry about wasting any of their time. Besides a couple of interviews might be good to go on.

Center Ice for NHL hockey.

As far as not being in Chicagoland, it's because I was in the military and away from home for so long. When I get homesick I just ask my dad or brother-in-law how much they pays in local, state and property taxes and then I feel better about living in Texas.

There is local hockey actually. Corpus Christi has some kind of developmental Jr Team (Icerays, coached by a "Queneville" actually, not sure of the relationship to the Blackhawks coach Q). Austin, San Antonio and Houston all have AHL teams. I need to make an effort to go to more local games.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
^^^What he said. Go with Center Ice or Game Center Live because if you're nowhere near an NHL market, you will get every non-nationally broadcast game. NBC you can pick up over the air or through he most basic cable packages. NBC sports and NHLN you might have to pay more, or just look for a local watering hole that carries them (I know BWW does around here...although some people don't like it).

Jako... from what I've heard about UPS... if you want to be a driver you have to start as a loader. No matter how qualified you are, you have. To spend a certain amount of time as a loader and probably some other jobs in the company.

My son-in-law is an exception to this, but his old man was lifetime UPS and pulled strings.. Otherwise, it's like you guy say.

I read a story about that team in a hockey book from the perspective of a reporter who wanted a first hand look at hockey in Texas.

So I have a connection to a tool and die place. They're apparently crazy busy and have had some problems with some folks not doing the right thing. They are huge Hawks fans, so that's good. My sister knows the office lady, who is married to the owners son, who also works there. It is a family business, small, about 20 or so employees. I have worked at a small place before where nepotism runs rampant and it was the smoothest run place, most fun, friendly, understanding place to work in the history of working. That was the propeller place. I didn't consider it work. It was a place I went to for like 8 hours and got paid.

I wonder if this place is anything like that. I also wonder about the pay. I hate to be like that, really, but what with a mortgage and such, I don't really have a choice. I will be sending them my resume, as it doesn't hurt. If they ask me in for an interview, great, but again, I am concerned about the monetary aspect.

This was posted by a friend of mine who works at EA. If anyone meets the qualifications, or has the desire let me know.

Know any good product marketing managers in the games biz? I'm hiring 2 product marketing managers for some really exciting mobile and social games at EA. One position is based in LA, one based in Montreal. Send any resumes my way! We also have 2 positions open for a social media specialist (LA and Montreal based as well).

That sounds really interesting. Although I don't get why a social media specialist would need to be in a particular city.
