Let's see if I got Pace's game plan down...

Trades a perennial pro-bowl, 1200 yard per season, true #1 WR for peanuts.

Dumps yet another perennial pro-bowler and well respected team captain CB from the D when we're already depleted in the secondary and then doesn't even sniff the position in the draft.

Uses his first round pick and 3 of first 4 on offense after watching the previous 2 seasons of worst defense in the history of the team.

And now, is using his HC, trying to jedi mind-**** us in to believing that a guy who could be confused for skinny armed Rob Lowe, who should be pushing a mop is actually worthy of playing in the NFL.

Well, if the guy's plan is to turn this 5-11 team into a 2-14 team, he's definitely doing well.

Translation: sees a locker room cancer and gets rid of it. The "peanuts" 5th round pick he got was used on a position of need, so even if not high quality at that pick, it was used on the right position.

He "dumped a perennial pro-bowler" who is not only at the end of the line age-wise, but missed two straight seasons w same recurring injury.

In other words, there will be new blood which is badly needed.

He then dared to try improving the 24th best offense in the draft after addressing D w the head coach hire, a new D coordinator and 7 free agents

Your lack of football knowledge is shining strong. You don't get it because you're an idiot who can't "really" figure out what he did,

Given Urlacher was a converted safety and Shea was a edge rusher, your comparison makes no sense.

To your question, I don't think Shea is despised, I think his play is despised. Cuz... well, he sucks.

technically, urlacher was a "lobo" - a hybrid safety/lber in that system in college.

I could tell Fox and the new regime was real high on McClellin when they said they wouldn't pick up the fifth-year option.

Was just gonna say that. White good looking guy with a college education. Dude can get a nice office job, make $50-$80K a year. Add the wife's $35K. Sounds about right.

Shea has the genius Phil Emery and his radical ideas to thank for his disappointing career so far. It's questionable if he'll really make it now, but let's hope he can improve in the new system and under a proper DC.

At this point, McClellin could be salvaged as a backup, but sometimes it's better for both parties to move on.

Please don't draft anyone from Boise in the first.

I'm guessing this is just a psychical ploy by the staff to instil some confidence in what has to be a broken ego. That being said, Shea has all of pysical tools to be a dominant LB. What an inditement on the past regime if he somehow wakes up and starts playing up to his hype. I don't see it happening, but stranger things have occurred.
