Considering there was talks he might miss the first round, I'll take it...we just have to win a game or two in Colorado to advance now.

Duchene missing the series is huge now, especially with Toews and Kane expecting to be back.

But bye-bye any home ice throughout the playoffs....most likely.

I wonder if Q will rest Hossa, Crawford, etc an extra game or two down the stretch now.

My favorite teams
 1. Portland Timbers
 1. Chicago Blackhawks
Hoss, maybe. Crawford--almost certainly. I expect Raanta to start Friday @ Columbus.

My guess would be a very large and nasty bruise on his entire upper arm and maybe some in the shoulder joint or collar bone as well. I'm sure several days rest, no contact, and a lot of icing will 'fix' it.

EDIT: I bet it's all kinds of interesting colors too!

At this point the playoff matchups are pretty set so I say you rest everyone till the playoffs and get them all healthy. Even the healthy guys who could be targets to other teams going forward. Let them all sit, regroup get healthy and be ready for game one of the playoffs... can't happen, but hey I wish it could. Hopefully Bick, Kane, Toews, and everyone else will be fully healed an ready to go for puck drop in the playoffs because basically that's your best line and would be a huge infusion of talent.

Also, quick question because maybe I missed it, but I saw in the box score that Teuvo is listed at LW? Did they move him from C for some reason?

Yes because Nordstom is up he'll center that line with Kruger and Handzus as well rotating in and out depending on matchups.

It might be Nordstrom's last chance to make an impression I'd guess.

One could say that Detroit has lived most of their current playoff life living in a European player paradise.

I believe Grimson was making a funny. Recall Raanta's reaction when the reporter asked him if he was happy to have another Finn on the team?
