Lol PMX Goc is not a 4th line C... and if they have Bolland to do the whole checking line C role, then move him up because he can produce too. Nobody has a problem with Leddy taking Campbells spot but God forbid if Bolland plays a few more minutes. Like he can't handle it.

Sharp/Toews/Kane

Brunette/Bolland/Hossa

Bickell/(CENTER)/Frolik

Mayers/Kruger/Smith

Goc sure would look good in that spot we are totally missing, for $1.7M that's a steal for 2 years. Much better than $2.75M for a bottom 6 d-man.

I really would like to see the Hawks resign Johnson. Put him on the 4th line and move Kruger to the 3rd line.

I wouldn't mind that, but it wouldn't be my first choice. I am not convinced Kruger is ready for that type of role yet, but then again I haven't seen him play since April so who knows how he is developing. If the organization truly believes he is ready then I'll trust them.

Well, Goc is signed for 3 yrs.

Bolland/Frolik/Bickell were pretty good in the playoffs..not sure why you wouldn't want to go with that chemistry they had, but ok.

And 2.75mil for a guy that will probably be playing 17-18min a night...same with O'Donnell. 2 guys that will help the PK and probably be the 2 best/physical

Hawks in front of the net.

There's just not a whole lot left for centers. I guess John Madden is becoming a more realistic choice as well.

And he would work as the 4th liner.. I like Bolland as the 3rd and he had some crazy chemistry with Frolik and Bickell.

Acco Kruger has some serious experience in an elite league. One he chose to stay and play in. He should get a chance with Hossa.

you think Kruger is ready for the second line? I didn't like him too much last season, seemed too slow and hesitant.

Don't know why I'm so hard on him but, I feel he will bring some added threat for us

Ditto!

Surprised they didn't resign him.

I think Kruger got better as the playoffs went on.

He joined the team late - and its a fast league. Most teams at the time he joined, were playing near playoff tempo.

I agree, him playing in between 2 very smart vets in Hossa/Brunette would be very good.

Just look for a 4th line center, for 1yr deal....and a 7th Dman, and alls good.

They'll have money stashed for mid season move if Kruger isn't capable.

I'd like a 4th line of - Scott/Mayers .....new center...Smith/Stalberg/Beach

I'd think they'd wait a few week until the dust settles and see who's looking for a contract.

any idea what we have spent?? and were we are at??? I figured Stan would leave some leg way around a 1.5 for the deadline. We are not even close to that with the signings we made, I know we have to to in consideration Sharp and some others, but any idea were we are at $$$ wise?

Honestly, if that were the case I would rather have Sharp play C.

We have 20 contracts with $7.8 million left to spend. Still have 3 RFAs to sign in Campoli, Stalberg, and Frolik. My guess is say goodbye to Stalberg. Also, you can probably knock about $650 off that cap number as I doubt Mclean starts the season with the Hawks, probably more of an Icehogs pickup.

Guessing Frolik and Campoli will combine for around $4.5 million we should have about $3.3 million in cap space left. Leaves a lot of room for in season trades.
