For me, Marcel Goc is the center we need. Back-up plans include John Madden, Marty Reasoner, Chad LaRose(C/W), and Jerred Smithson.

For wingers, my main choice would be Joel Ward(C/W), back-ups include Mike Grier, Chris Clark, Ethan Moreau, Pascal Dupuis, Antti Miettinen, Aaron Voros, Mike Rupp.

Defenseman, main choice is James Wisniewski, back-ups include Tomas Kaberle, Shane O'Brien, Brent Sopel.

A lot of Preds on my list.

Wow, really bring back Moreau, Ton??? I like the other names, although I think Dupuis will out price himself.

And i also dont think we can afford Kaberle. Although I think he would flourish in the Hawks system.

I wouldn't mind Moreau on the 4th line or reserve winger, great leadership and effort. However, this would probably be my absolute LAST choice, I'd rather not go down that road but if he was the last pick I wouldn't complain too much.

I think we can afford Kaberle if he is looking for a deal around $5M, no more than $5.2M or so. From what I was told the Hawks would make a push for him and Wisniewski, (not saying they would land both, just one) so it sounds like they are willing to pay a reasonable price to fill Campbells shoes. At the same point I also heard Sopel was interested in returning, just a matter of if the Hawks offer him something.

along with joel ward, i'd love to see adam hall picked up for a year or two. he played HARD minutes on the PK last year. great hands, decent faceoff man. plus i went to high school with him so i'm always pulling for the guy.

wouldn't mind getting patrick eaves either.

i'd take the wiz on the back end again as long as he promises to end wiz wear.

We have alot of prospect depth. I wonder if we couldn't trade for a #2 center. What would it take to pry Gagner from the Oilers?

Even more so now that Laich is off the market.

Now that Laich is a no-go I desperately want Stan to make a trade happen any way possible to pry Pavelski away from the Sharks.

Joel Ward will get signed to some ridiculous amount solely for his playoff heroics and that team will regret it. He'll be the new Pisani.

well we got enough money to make headlines, but make it smart. I would like to see...

Leino, great player would fit perfect with the hawks, put him with Hossa and Bolland.

Ehrhoff Good D with alot of gritt. Solid.

Wiz second option if Ehrhoff does not work.

Sopel our pen. kill was a big part our weakness in the playoffs last year.

Package deal.

lets out together some draft picks and some money and get a good Center.

If they could somehow land Pavelski/Gagner or someone along those lines I'd be thrilled. The FA class is getting thinner by the minute. What types of prospects do you think they would cost though?

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Yes, I did mean I don't want Stalberg on the team. I'd rather see Morin or Makarov up with the squad next year.

Sopel and Wiz I wouldn't mind seeing back here. Wiz I think is a long shot, but I hope Sopel comes back for our 5/6 pairing. He may have a face only a mother could loathe--the face that sank a thousand ships, and yes he does look like a catfish, but he's OUR catfish damnit!

As or up front...I wouldn't mind seeing us try for Belanger...might be a cheap option to shor up the 3rd line if there's nothing else.

He's not RFA or UFA---has 3 yrs. on his new deal at $4 mil per which is SWEET! So there is no getting back at him for last's year's offer sheet douchebaggery. I am talking about Stan trading for him---like maybe get that ****** Wilson to bite on something (preferabley future picks) since he's only got 7 of his Forwards signed for the new season and give him a little bit more to add to his coffers since SJ is like the team with the 4th least amt of cap space to work with right now. Pavelski would be fucking perfect for our 2nd line with Hossa.

Leino? I thought the Hawks needed to get mor physical...pass

Erhoff? Not sure where he'd fit/fill the physical Dman role needed.

And I'd pass on Slowpel as well. Good guy...but not a July 1st target. Maybe if they miss out on who they really want and he signs a 1yr - 1mil deal late

Unfortunately, i think they'd be looking for NHL ready talent instead of picks. I would assume a guy like Morin would have to be part of the package, and I was looking for him to make the team this year.

Well the good ones are being signed for big $$$ and we are sitting here waiting for July 1. If july comes and these are players we are dealing with then we have no choice do we? unless we package some picks and pay up.

Yeah, in reality I know that, lol! I am just dreamin' BIG for shits n' giggles because why not and stranger things have happened during FA? Besides, everyone knows my ideal trade poach is Jordan Staal, LOL!!! It's a coping mechanism really to come to peace with the fact that this is likely the WORST fucking offseason to have some money to spend---what's available is so f'ing weak that the cruelty of it all kind of breaks your heart a little bit.

No Kaberle. I don't understand why people think he is good. He can't play defense to save his life. He doesn't score goals. The whole reason the B's traded for him was to improve their PP we saw who that worked out. 5 mil a year give me a break.
