What a pussy.
The Bears should bench him and bottom out.
Nah, Hoyer might actually win a few games... much better to leave Cutler in and assure us the #1 pick so we can FINALLY draft a real QB and actually start the rebuild process.
You're right, it seems playing Cutler may be the best odds at bottoming out.I gotta give you credit when you say stuff like this. As if teams have benched their starting qb just to "bottom out."
When does that happen, and can you name teams that have ever intentionally done that? That's meatball 101.
Now, I am really stretching here but I will be really interested to see what the Oline and play calling looks like with Hoyer or eventually Barkley. Cutler has long been criticized for his lack of pre and post snap awareness. Wouldn't it be interesting if their pre snap reads and audibling lead to better protection and overall line play? Not saying Massie isn't a shitty RT, but maybe it isn't all on him or Loggains.I say they skip Hoyer and go right to Barkley, or sign Fales of the Ravens PR and start him.
No QB is doing anything with Loggains at OC.

Please don't talk like that right now. I can't stomach it.Cutler still has multiple years left in Chicago, I suspect.
I don't know. I have never thought to this point that the Bears would cut ties and they haven't, but this has a different feel to it. Pace and Fox have coexisted with Cutler to this point, for what they have felt was best for the team. If one of these other guys come in and look more efficient, ala Josh McCown, I don't see them making the switch back if he were ready in 4-6 weeks. So much for many of you who said Cutler had played his last snap for the Bears.

I got the feeling Cutler was hoping it was broken

I dunno man, if the QB wasn't throwing balls in the dirt all night or tossing terribly underthrown wounded ducks when AJ is open by 10 yards for an easy TD the offense would function just fine. The OC isn't the problem here. The lack of execution from the most important position on offense is the problem here. Pretty sure Ditka made the same statement pregame.
