He completely ignored my comment on the Ref not getting any discipline and felt better about calling someone a "dumb motherfucker", so let him have his moment. All athletes should live in a bubble when they aren't doing what they are paid for.



Don't worry Kaners off in his bubble, so hopefully the "dumb mother ******" will now stay away from any phones, camera's, media, dudes trying to make a buck, hell the basic free world until Sept. training camp.



<edit> I do agree his choices should be made with more thought, is he a "dumb mother ******", no. SO far I haven't seen one wrong thing he did. Inappropriate, who am I to judge. At 23 I was still doing far worse.

Maybe I'm alone here, but I think those that are yammering hardcore about Kane being wrong for lampooning himself (the shirt is priceless), and drinking and hangin out and screwing college girls are the parents out there who are so vested in him being a role model (because they're too busy in their lives to be one for their own kids) that they want him to be Mr. Fucking Rogers.

And pictures say 1000 words and none of them are usually true, do you know how many pictures a day on the internet get taken out of context and used as an internet meme... actually I know you do cause you are very good at it yourself. I'm not saying he wasn't passed out on the bar but he could have just as easily had a different explanation. Maybe he was just tired and put his head down but his eyes were open... whatever, who cares, it's not a party till you fall asleep and rally. I didn't see in any of the pictures where he was stumbling all over the place? All these conclusions that people jump to over a 23 year old kid having a great time. Sure I'd like him to not have it all out there, but 95% of all people out in public these days have a camera on them. Its the way the world works now. And the ******* who are taking these pictures and sending them immediately to Deadspin ect and trying to make a buck are the real problem here, where is all the outrage over the invasion of privacy? Sure he posed for a couple, but there you have pictures of his back at a bar, him crossing the street, screwing around in a group of people... so basically you're saying, do go outside and have fun, people might take a picture of you. Better yet, don't go outside at all, not even to walk your dog.

No we aren't. I know you outside of here and consider you my friend. Overboard on what I typed, maybe a little. Then again someone who doesn't know the person, has never had a conversation with the person, going off of hear say and pictures, where the person is doing nothing wrong, calling him a dumb mother ******, yea I have a problem with that. but even I have to admit that article was all over the place, now all of a sudden we're talking about how much it takes for a bar owner to throw Kane out? Has that happen? See, here is the lovely fun of news these days, it's all editorial and no fact, people keep forgetting that. Especially these blogs. This isn't an article. It's not news. It's not anything. It's one mans opinion based on his opinion and second hand accounts from other people. Has he ever been out drinking with PK? No.. .but now cause people read this they are going to confuse it with news and run out and grab their good pitchforks and tear up some shirts for their torches. I'm just so tired of the media creating news. We constantly complain about ESPN on here and how they are sports entertainment and they create a lot of the stories they report, yet that's exactly what is going on here only for some reason it's gospel.

Why are we not seeing more reports of other Hawks, or other hockey stars for that matter, acting like drunk asses, getting thrown out of places etc? Surely they must be under as much scrutiny as Kane...or is it that Kane seems to find himself in these dumb situations all too often.

Kane gets picked out more, but I know Richards and Carter were seen everywhere in Philly. I believe Phaneuf was seen a lot out in Calgary.



Being 23 as well, I guess I'm more biased to think it's not a big deal that he went to a college town and had fun with buddies (which involved getting hammered).



Until someone steps forward claiming to be the girl who was assaulted, or there is proof shown to the public then I don't give a shit what he does in the off season.
