lebron's handle is as good as jordan's imo..i would argue his passing ability and IQ are as good if not better than jordan's(it sounds ridiculous but watching him in the finals..alot of his passes are perfect and although he didnt take responsbility for his own points that often offensively he did set his teammates up again and again)
i just think that lebron is a naturally more gifted player than jordan...he was given a 6'8 270 frame(basically if you're looking at height and weight you'd think this guy would be a body up post guy)...but also has the ability to be a point guard, drive to the lane, pull up, play perimeter defense against the fastest guards/forwards in the league such as rose
is jordan in the top 10 or 5 talent wise? Yes(in fact he is probably 2nd to james or 3rd to james and wilt)...but i have never seen anyone with the combination of size and perimeter abilities that lebron has....again lebron could have made an NBA roster when he was a sophomore in high school(atleast thats what ive heard)..thats how naturally gifted he was
the thing is...lebron is lazy(he hasnt learned any post moves that would imo make him more productive now and would also help down the road when he loses a step) and plays with no emotion and plays down to adversity...
thats what makes jordan the best...the combination of great talent and skills...but also an unparalleled drive
I agree with almost all you said but still... Jordan had amazing body control and finishing ability around the basket. LeBron is one of the best in the league at finishing around the rim but he's not at Jordan's level. I am not sure anybody is.
I don't think LeBron is anywhere close to being as good of a ball handler as Jordan. But the one skill he has better than Jordan is his passing ability, and that makes up for not having as good of a handle as Jordan.
LeBron is flat out bigger, stronger, and faster than Jordan. He can get up higher than he could. But that doesn't mean he was a flat out better athlete because Jordan did have better hands, body-control.
And sure, LeBron James was a better passer than Jordan. But Jordan pretty much had every other skill over LeBron. His timing was better, his shooting, post-up game, and coordination.
I respect where Pippen was coming from when he said he believes that LeBron could be better than Jordan. But I'm not 100% convinced that he could. I don't think he has the motivation to be. Or the coordination.
