I bet they see this as insurance in case Jenkins is not a long term option or if Nate Davis regresses. All signs point the the Bears O-Line being above average.

Unfortunately, this means we better hope internal players take a step in order to help the pass rush. I think we will wait to see if anyone tries to shake loose from another team. It's still possible a team like the Chargers sheds one of their rushers via trade. Things can happen and the Bears have a couple additional picks next year to make a move.

Granted, he played at the FCS level in a run heavy scheme but he does have all the traits nonetheless. Really good project to entertain for sure. Good pick. Especially if he’s put at guard. But good to know he can play guard or as a tackle.
