I didn't read the text, but going by the pictures, a cat attacked you so you stabbed it to death, well played.

Knives don't kill cats, brave men do.
Your ability to comprehend text without actually reading it is uncanny!

"Black timascus" inlay (titanium alloys and zirconium layered together), jeweled titanium handle, zirconium pivot collar, blue anodized hardware and back spacer, "timascus" pocket clip.

I'm pumped.

Anyone ever one of these sharpening systems?

http://www.edgeproinc.com/

Actually planning on picking one up. From all the reviews I've read/seen it's pretty much the best thing out there. Bonus: you don't need oil for the stone (which gets all gummy and shit during the sharpening process).

Who needs a knife? I been carrying these bad boys on my waist for 35 years. They passed security at the airport but my RJ45 crimp tool was confiscated.

I’ve read the same thing, just want to hear some firsthand accounts before I pull the trigger. I’m pretty sure I can get one covered by my tool allowance at work

The dumbass Brits pretty much already have:

No locking blades that can be released by the "push of a button." And they have a super loose interpretation of the term "button."
No balisongs.
No automatic knives.
No "gravity" knives (knives that can be opened just by flicking your wrist).
No "zombie knives." "a knife with a cutting edge, a serrated edge and images or words suggesting it is used for violence." Bwahahaha.
No swords/sword canes.
No push daggers.
No blow-guns.
And so much more.

I suppose you could always pretend to be a Sikh and carry a kirpan though...

I've had my leatherman for years and it's only failed me once.

We deserve a story.

I used to take my Leatherman on vacation, it came in handy many times. That thing is not getting through TSA, so no more.

What's your every-day carry? I usually have a Spyderco Endura on my hip, but just ordered a Microtech Ultratech. Full metal Spydercos are fucking amazing: absolutely zero play, above average blade steel, really nothing to complain about.

Any company preferences?

US Made Cold Steel 4Max. Best $350 hard use folder I’ve ever owned. I’m sure the Custom Demko’s are great, but I’m not going to beat on a $2500 Knife. (I WILL HAVE an AD10 someday tho)

4” CPM 20CV Blade, TI Liners, Clip and Backspacer, World’s Strongest Lock.

It’s what Medfords, Hinderers, Extrema Ratios, Crusader Forges, Emersons, ZTs etc etc all dream about being when they grow up.

Just gave a Co-Worker a Doo-Doo Brown Endura 4 FFG in VG-10. He was pretty stoked. That thing just collected dust in the chest.

TBT I don’t know how many knives I own, I don’t keep count. But my wife can’t complain, because she has over 200 pairs of shoes.

IL has a 4" limit, 3 would fucking suck. Hell, I don't even know if I own anything under 3".

Oh, if anyone has a Spyderco Poliwog I'd be all for buying that shit. Never figured out why they haven't made more ball-bearing locks.

So, side thread: what's your preferred lock? I tend to go with spine locks; can't stand frame-locks, they ruin the functional integrity of the entire system.

Spyderco’s best lock IMHO is the Powerlock.

Just ordered 2 Winkler tomahawks (Sayoc RnD and a Combat Axe), plus an RMJ Tactical Combat (Africa). Have researched for a while and finally took the plunge.

Just a tip out there for any Kershaw owners in case you weren't aware. They will sharpen your knife for free for life, and they have a very good warranty program outside of that:

Picked up a QuietCarry Shorty (key holder + small blade) a few months ago and am really liking the small size and functionality. I have two keys and two of those micro cards for the gym and grocery in mine. You wouldn't want to try to put more in it than that.
