Market value of less than half of what his cap hit was.
How many other Bears players would that be true for?

Not sure but he signed within 35 minutes. Are we sure he couldn't have gotten more elsewhere? I think both parties really wanted this.Market value of less than half of what his cap hit was.

Called it. No way he was staying at 20 mil. And when they couldn’t work an extension the writing was on the wall
Can't believe they brought these clowns back
Broncos have pieces but they are basically the Bears with no QB. He is going to the same type of situation plus they may be trading for Foles. He's obviously betting on looking good in Fangio's scheme and getting one more good contract. Smart move.

You also have to keep in mind that the lower cap is why a many players are only getting smaller one year deals. It'll increase next offseason for sure. He also clearly wanted to be back with Vic as well.Market value of less than half of what his cap hit was.

Given what he signed for probably should habe taken a paycut for like 11m.
The Broncos are also in earshot of trading up for one of the top 4 QBs.Yep, Broncos have no chance when all their division opponents have legit QB's, Chiefs with Mahomes, Raiders with Carr, and Chargers with Herbert.

What kind of payout was dickboy asking him to take....then offer a WR 11 to 12 mil? Again **** PaceHe was getting paid 11 mil already with the Bears this year. The other 9 mil was in dead cap he already received previously.
So really he is only taking a 1.5 mil payout to play with Fangio.
