Obviously going to be getting drunk pool-side and gambling a shit ton.

Every time I go there my family stays in Flamingo cause its cheap and I wind up staying there or being near there and no matter how much I try not to I play blackjack in the Jimmy Buffet place next door and I lose money.

Anywhere else, I lose some, I win some, I lose some more.... Jimmy Buffet.... lose, lose, lose, and lose more.

Ok now time for the funny story.

Outside of the Jimmy Buffet restaurant on the corner.... I once watched a chick who was clearly a hooker try to get 3 drunk bros to **** her/pay her.

Now I could not actually understand the conversation, I was too far away to hear it.

However, I could see them talking and observe their facial expressions.

The dudes went from being super excited she wanted them to triple team her, to confused as to why they were not already upstairs fucking her, to pissed off once they finally figured out she wanted money to **** her, to then thinking they could charm her into a freebie, to then getting distracted into bro-talk with themselves, to then being confused why she walked off angry and right back to bro-talk.

Vegas has some good people watching for sure.

I am always amused at the giant weirdly shaped cups filled with cheap margaritas.

I don't have any particularly crazy stories, but while you're there I highly recommend the breakfast buffet at The Wicked Spoon which is either in the Aria or Cosmopolitan, I forget and am too lazy to look it up. That buffet is ridiculously good.

My dad and I got breakfast food for like $4 around 2am once at some place, but it wasn't on the strip. Probably not worth anyone's effort, but the food was so cheap...

Probably the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. We also had a good time at the Lobby Bar in Caesars, they provided us proper lighters for our cigars and had Balvenie AND Glenmorangie available in various years.

Where are you staying? Middle of the strip is optimal.
BurGR is a great spot for lunch. Decently priced and the burgers are amazing.
Gordon Ramsay's Steak is expensive, but one of my top meals was there. The other was at the Paris restaurant.
If you're looking for a dive place, old school style, hit up Ellis Island.
Not sure what kind of gambling you do, but I mostly play poker when I'm out there at the 1/2 NL tables.

Best night was when I won 1000 playing NL Texas Hold 'em, the other was winning 800 on penny slots (I didn't even know that was possible).
Never had a bad night, just some weird moments here and there. It's a place where you'll see the weirdest person ever juxtaposed next to the hottest looking woman ever, then it happens again 10 minutes later.
It's touristy as ****, and old Vegas (downtown) is not worth it.

I've been to Vegas 9 times and stayed at Paris, Flamingo, Ballys and MGM. Stay away from the old side of Ballys. That's like an 80s nightmare come to life. Too many mystery stains in those rooms.

Even to throw away a portion of my t-shirt slush fund, you would have to be an idiot :)

If you are a foodie, I recommend Culinary Dropout. It was extremely good. It is at the Hard Rock Hotel though (off the strip).

That looks magnificent, I read some reviews on that never being able to get past security at most clubs. Explaining to some random bouncer that it shoots out dollar bills probably wouldn't be sufficient enough to get it past security.

Definitely doing the steak for sure. Looking forward to it.

In a few months we're all going to log in and see (CSS under new management) because Rush gambled away his rights to CCS the first night he was there.

Drinking pool side in Vegas, in July? I love it. Look into a cabana, they cost more than hotel rooms but are awesome. Back in the day (like 15 years ago) you could get a cabana for $150-$200 a day, from about 10AM to 7PM. Big screen TV, ceiling fan, water misters, waitress service, stocked fridge. Stocked with water, juice, candy, fruit, I would take some of that shit out and replace it with beer and mixers. Lay out in the sun or in the cabana, it is the only way to spend a whole day at the pool in July. Unless you get to the pool at 7AM and try to reserve some chairs in the shade, even then the chair reservation thing is dicey at best (depends on the pool rules) and the sun moves so you lose your shade. If we were in Vegas for a week we would do 2 days in a cabana, parts of the other days at the pool. 3 or 4 hours is about all I could take in that heat, and the drinks really cost at the pool. Unless you stock your cabana fridge with your own drinks

Now a days, they give most of the cabanas to high rollers, it's tough for a low roller to even rent one and they are more like $500-$1000, which is crazy unless you have Rush money, oh wait....

If you have a casino host, talk to them, if you have any kind of a comp coming ask, maybe you get lucky and get a weekday. Some places also split half days. It never hurts to ask a host for shit, you never know.

One last suggestion that will get blasted, Golden Nugget downtown. I know DT sucks! But GN is a nice place with a great pool and you can get a cabana there for 300-350 on a weekday. If you really want the full on, all day drinking at the pool, Vegas experience, that is the place.

Unless you are a high roller, in which case you know more about this shit than I do.

When you going? Maybe we can plan a mod bro trip? I got a boy who just moved out there to get paid a shit ton of money to be a veterinarian. I would be dead in a month, but I would live a 100 years in that month.
