After watching the video, I now want Detroit to crash & burn. What an arrogant, ignorant, condescending creep. He spoke so much bs that it wasn't funny anymore, after some minutes.
1) Ex: He (paraphrasing) said that the Lions next year will know BJ's scheme and know how to defend it. Well, dumb shit, that also implies that BJ knows the toilet's defense and can game plan to destroy it. It works both ways a-hole.
2) How does he know that Poles was against this hire? He doesn't. Although it's possible to hear it thru hearsay. But take that with a grain of salt.
3) Gulf made BJ? And this guy was serious when saying it. I guess he seemed to forget the Rams won the SB after Golf left them. Or did the Gulf of America decide to make the Rams OC and then decided to leave LA and let them win a SB w/o him? How noble of him.
4) Da Bears will never get their O-line fixed. This may be true. I say it isn't. But to say it with such conviction, and about a dynamic and not a static is beyond hubris & arrogance. We will pretty much know in October, so time will tell. Hopefully by September. Don't have to worry about something that we know will happen one way or the other.
I would say nobody ever punched this guy in the face growing up ( not saying it would have been the right thing to do )....LOL....But it seems he grew up saying what he wanted to, to whomever he wanted w/o consequences. I didn't grow up in that type of neighborhood. Unlucky me....lol...

I certainly hope his words blow up in his face.

I get what you are saying here but I would point out that the Lions are likely to end up with a new DC with Glenn leaving so it may be a new defensive scheme for the Lions next year depending on the DC replacement.

Either way though, I don't expect that to be any sort of real hindrance.

Plus, if Johnson is as good as we all hope he will be, then he should be adapting his offense to his personnel. So, plays he ran for Goff may be different than plays he runs for Caleb.

Lions fans live in la la land where they believe this guy would gladly be paid less to be a coordinator... or... he'd be so loyal and want to remain some kind of legend in Detroit by not going in the division. Delusional...

This is a business. You get as much money as you can and you go to the best situation you can to increase your odds of succeeding. That's all it's about.
I mean that should be obvious. It's confusing to me how it's not.

Every one of them would leave their job to take an exponentially higher paying job that's a promotion, where they want to be, and they think it's best for their career aspirations. Even if it's competing against a "rival" organization. Why would Ben Johnson not be expected to do the same?

I get not wanting him to succeed here as a rival team, but the disdain as if he should be expected to do something differently is silly to me.

The hits keep coming.

Fraley might be OC here or in Seattle unless Detroit is willing to promote him to playcaller from OL coach, which would be a risk.

Glenn appears to be the guy for the Jets and you'd have to believe he'll want to take some guys with him.

Campbell might not have any guys left to promote and have to start over. Good thing he's a mastermind.

Dan Campbell went from 1 ass cheek and 3 toes to 1 ass cheek and NO COACHES.

Also, the sour grapes on Ben Johnson is incredible. I would hope Bears fans would handle this kind of thing better.

That is the problem with rah-rah coaches. The cupboard continually gets raided. If the Lions don't take a big step back next year I will be very surprised and give Campbell alot of credit. But for a HC that never even held an OC or DC position in the league I think the fanbase should be considerably worried.
