I think it was the writing. Very monotone writing, I found. The acting was good, except for Sandrine Holt. She is always awful. And the guy who played Russo was terrible.
The music was the final straw for me.

Agree about the tone of the writing, but I thought they pulled it off well. I think for me, in the end, I just didn't really get any sense of suspense from the **** up lives of the crooked fucks.

I started watching Hemlock Grove. Watched about 6 episodes.
I guess its a netfilx series. Its one of those what if wherewolves/supernatural shit was real shows.
The acting is mostly about average to a little above average imo, with some random shitty scenes here and there. Story is pretty decent with some mystery and suspense. Though it does seem like a lot of episodes have a chunk of fluff in the middle like they are trying to space out the big plot points (like Dexter tho not so bad that you only need to watch the first and last 10 minutes of the show).
Overall I think it is decent and worth watching if you don't have anything else going and are fuckin bored of cop shows.
