If you like weird premises and Canadian shit like Orphan Black then Continuum is definitely worth a try.

Its weird, they kinda go out of the way to not say what city they are in.

I just watched the last episode of season 1. Overall, like it a lot. But that garbage disposal scene. That was so stupid.

Agreed. I said the same thing but I wanted the mystery resolved and ended up generously suspending my disbelief.

We started "The Killing," recently. It's on Netflix streaming. We are nearing the end of season 1, and it's becoming really good. I'm not sure if it was mentioned, but I would recommend it.

I'm interested in your opinion after you finish the first season.

I enjoyed the first season of the Killing, then....

but we are about to marathon the final Netflix-exclusive season. Sarah Linden would be in a lot better mood if she licked my balls.

Did you watch the first season live or did you wait and marathon it? I didn't watch the show, but I remember a lot people being really pissed because they didn't reveal the murderer at the end of the season. Those people had to wait for the second season to find out. I imagine a person marathoning the first two seasons would deal with it better.

I just went back and re-watched the 2nd half of the last Orphan Black episode. First time I was pretty distracted.

Got to say, I really liked the ending. Lots of suspense and cliffhangers, some surprises, and seems like good stuff to explore in the next season.

But overall, I think the show is just pretty good. Its a little disappointing cause the main premise of the show is just so cool. And as they flesh it out it becomes even more cool. But in the end, I go back to my original issue.

There is shit around the main premise that is weird and out of place. A little cluttered with secondary through lines that aren't necessary and tend to overly sentimental, hamfisted, or just weird and disjunct. Its almost like they tried to add a smear of camp or comedy on top but it fails. idk. Still like the show overall, but there is somethin about how it all comes together that left me feeling like the writers did not get the most out of a great premise.

Just watched the Dr. Who special that came out after the season ended last year:

Was fuckin great. Really really good imo.

Bout to watch the next special, again from after the end of the 2013 season:

The Time of the Doctor

I think this might be more of just a christmas story.
