Rome - 2 Seasons

Firefly - 1 season

You should be able to get Firefly on Netflix Streaming or Amazon Prime. You won't regret it, great great show. And it's got Summer Glau from 12 years ago when she was just smoking hot.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Michigan Wolverines
  2. Purdue Boilermakers
My personal favorite that's still airing is Hannibal. Boardwalk Empire isn't bad but starts off really slow. Heard great things about Rome, which is on my to watch list. Currently finishing up The Shield, which is already one of my favorites, still got two seasons left then I'm going to check out Rescue Me, Ray Donovan, Fargo, and Rome.

Rome was my favorite series ever. Very well done in every aspect. If you haven't seen it definitely check it out. Was too expensive to produce ask they cancelled after 2 seasons.

Aside from the obvious and amazing GOT and Boardwalk Empire, these are some older shows that I think were really good.

John Adams was great. Paul Giamatti is excellent in that. I think the title is self explanitory in terms of content. Warning: Long episodes...lol

America the history of us was not a series in the traditional sense. It is a multi-episode documentary about America. Check that out if you haven't yet. (also long episodes)

"Carnivale". It was an HBO series about a traveling carnivale (much more to it than that, thats the crux). Very well done as well. Just a heads up, they canceled it after 2 seasons and left a huge cliff hanger out there. Gave me a stomach ache for a month!!

I liked Deadwood too, another very cool series about a small mining town based around the gold rush.

Trying to get into The Leftovers now. like it And it has potential to be a great show but also has the potential to jump the shark.

hope that helps.

Gonna try "The Killing" this week. I'll post what I think.

Also, if anyone is looking for a new show try "The Americans". It is about Soviet spies posing as US citizens. Good stuff. I've only watched first season.

Saw the first episode of Penny Dreadful. The premise is a little tired but it's got a strong cast. A bit like Buffy the Vampire Slayer for grownups?

Fun fact, the main dude character in Homeland, Damian Lewis.... he plays Lt/Capt/Major Winters in Band of Brothers.

Lol I started watching Homeland a couple years ago and as soon as the first episode started and I saw him I was like "Fuckin A its Capt. Winters.... he hasn't aged a bit"

Been watching Rome and think its pretty damn good, tho maybe not in the top echelon of shows. I like how the emphasis is on politics and not just action.

Also watched the first season of Luther (british detective show) and thought it was great.

BTW, if anyone hasn't seen the new BBC Sherlock series, its fuckin great.

Luther is exceptional! I think it is season two that has the twins. The final scene he has with one of them is AWESOME! The series is short but realllly good.

I'm so so so jealous you are still watching The Shield. I finsihed it last year and literally fell of my chair at like midnight and swas like "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" and had to call my buddy and we both had to be up for work in a couple hours. Literally couldn't sleep.

Best fucking show ending of all time. Dude, you'll love it.
