Is there a place everyone is gonna meet up to celeberate if we win?
i am working on a recommentation for a place by city hall (central philly) right off the broad street subway. from there it is a $3 subway ride directly to the stadium. i thinks we should consider 'strength in numbers' while going to and from the w. center.
My trip is set. My buddy screwed up and accidentally made the arrangements for next Wednesday instead of tomorrow. Thankfully, he calleD Expedia and they let him cancel everything and rebook. But, now instead of staying downtown we are stuck at the Econo Oldge oout by the airport :x

As for game tockets we really lucked out. My buddy atoned his airline fuckup because he is good friends with the guy who is in charge of escorting the Cup to the building. He got us tickets at face value from the Fylers organization. $375 and that includes free food and bar. I assume that means we are in some sort of suite??? If that's true we migth be safe from the fans.

I'm torn on the jersey issue. I bought my red #88 back in October and vowed to never wash it till they won the Cup this year. I've worn it to every game I've gone to and its slightly stained from never being washed. And now I have a chance to see the Hawks win the Cup and I'm supposed to leave the jersey at home??? That seems wrong and it also seems like really bad luck. But, on the other ahdn I've heard from many people that Flyers fans are goiong out of their way to target Hawks fans to try and get them kicked out of the arena. So I'm really torn on this. The gusy I'm going with don't want me to wear it.

Is there a place everyone is gonna meet up to celeberate if we win?

And wtf is up with this new board? Is anyone else having a hard time writing posts with everyting being on a delay? Its awful!
There are about 10 of us staying at the Sheraton Airport hotel. I didnt feel like hanging down town which is farther from the Whacovia than the airport which is three miles away.

I am wearing my 3rd replica I think so as not to have anyone ruin my Red Authentic.

Guys, in all seriousness, please be careful in Philly. Especially if, as we all hope, our boys win tomorrow. Having dealt with Flyers fans as much as I have here in DC, they really are stupid which makes them dangerous, and will only be exacberated if the Hawks clinch on their ice. I want to see you on here celebrating Thursday with the rest of us, as I plan on being too fucking drunk tomorrow night to do anythign other then step onto my back patio and scream "Let's go Hawks, **** the Flyers" at the top of my lungs.

We stayed at the Sheraton by the airport as well. There is actually a complex with one entry point for the two Sheratons and a Hilton. Having a rental is a HUGE benefit at the Wachovia is an easy drive from there. A place somewhat near the Wachovia that might be a great place for all of you to meet up is called Chickies and Pete's. It is just north of the stadium and the Score was broadcasting live from there last Friday. It is also where Jako was interviewed by Ravi from Channel 7. The crab fries and wings were excellent.

There's just something that is right with the world when the words "Jako" and "crab(s)" are uttered in the same breath...

Oh so sweet, they have a care......hopefully they get a car to travel in that shitty traffic. I hate driving through or to Philly. ALmost as bad as being in downtown DC.

I have a flight in tomorrow and have a room at the Sheraton. I think RK or someone said that's where the Hawks stayed too. Let's hope they win and bring the cup back to the bar.

I haven't gotten a ticket yet, so if there is someone else looking to pick up one... pairs are easier to come by and the safety in numbers idea is REALLY sounding like a good idea. Even Rocky W. was on the news yesterday talking about it and how bad they were. I was thinking about not wearing my sweater, but what the hell, as soon as the hawks score, they are going to know you are hawks fan. BUT I was thinking of just bringing it in a bag and tossing it on during the game... maybe hand it off if I have to make the deadly trek to the bathroom

Ticket prices are dropping

Lower goal 110 row 5 is $1112.00 for a pair I will gladly split that with someone.

The cheapest single is around $900 in the same area.

those are on StubHub

PM me if you are interested in going...

ALSO if we have this many people coming from the one hotel. I think a limo/shuttle might be a good idea. Drop us off out front and we make a run for it at the end of the game and get the hell out of dodge.

Great seeing everyone the other night

BHAWKS35 will be joining me and my 4 other crew in 219, row9. safety in numbers with 6 of us together upstairs. based on thread, i am thinking we need to switch our hotel and go near the airport... makes sense.. if you gonna look for chicago fans, gonna be by the airport. question is exactly, where is the meet up? hilton/sheraton complex as mentioned before?

We were at the Four Points Sheraton, while older it still did the trick. I think Jako

got a rate of around $100 for the night. The beds were comfy and the air cranked

down to - 5 fahrenheit was awesome!

Hey IHF, do you know which Chickies and Petes's you went to. I checked their website and they have several locations. Here is a link if that helps...

Packer Ave, South Philly

If you look at the map on that webpage you will see Wachovia is directly south of there.

been there cool, big place good beers. however.... if i recall, not exactly a short walk to stadium. they have a shuttle, but it took too long so we walked last time. so if u are parking in the stadium lot, and walking too and fro c&p's might expose you to some unsavory people :( (just sayin).

i think our plan is gonna pre-party at the sheraton (or hilton), then drive to lot, park and go in the game. prolly the best way to avoid said 'unsavory' people.

Slight change of plans. We've upgraded from the Econo Lodge to suites at the Ritz Carlton downtown. Don't ask me how, I have no idea, I just go where I'm told.

I'm bringing the jersey and its gonna be a game time decision. But, just heard a story about a fan getting sucker punched in the bathroom and considering I have a notoriously small bladder and the seats we have have access to a free bar that could spell trouble for me in my #88 red. :confusion-seeingstars:

Has anyone decided on a place for the pre-party?
