They have a case in the wall that holds all the hats thrown for all the hat tricks in the history of the flyers. Pretty damn cool.

You take the subway back down to the HOtel? I would imagine the crowd would have been worse had the Flyers Lost as well.[/quote]

I'm on the east coast right now to attend a wedding and for some work obligations. I'm staying at my folks house in Connecticut.

I drove four and a half hours to attend the game, got in my car at 11:30 after it was over and simply drove home. No hotel. Old school. Got home at 4:00am.

Loved every minute of it (except for overtime and much of the third period after Kaner scored) and it was well worth the 9 hour round trip commute.

By the way, every time the Hawks scored, I jumped out of my seat, pumped my fist, screamed out, you name it. Not once did a Flyers fan tell me to sit down, or shut my trap or anything. I wasn't obnoxious, just cheering for my team, but it seemed like Flyers fans were pretty respectful of that. I was not trash talking, just cheering.

Have fun guys, bring home a winner. That's the funny thing about unemployement, I have all the time in the world to go, but the fiscal side of me says I should probably save the money for rent. Yet, if I was employed and had the money, I probably couldn't get the time off!

Hey guys. I know, I haven't been around in, what, a year, but I was Facebooking with Mrs. Jako today (and looking for tickets for Jako and I guess IHF!) and she told me a bunch of you were going tomorrow night and I wanted to touch base!

I'm going to be in section 201 (if there are no ticket issues), and I'm going to try to get down by the glass for warmups. Probably going to hit the Wachovia Center around 5:30, unless there's some kind of party going on I need to crash! I think I'm the local contact for Philly, so if anyone needs info about, well, anything, a ride, directions to the cheesesteaks (Pat's, not Geno's), whatever, feel free to get in touch. It'll be really nice to see some friendly Hawks faces after living in this orange and black hell hole.

RK - I have a hat in the hattrick case from Primeau's hatty vs. Toronto in '04. It is a pretty cool thing to see.

Long time no see!

I was there with a customer a couple of years ago and he had one in there from a Lindros hatty, that he actually signed. It was right up front. Wish they'd do something like that at the UC. Very cool.

You all have fun and bring us home a win for SUNDAY!!!

Be safe too!

Best cheesesteak is at Jim's, IMO better than Pat's or Geno's.

Get in contact with Jako and lets meet up prior since you are the local hook. I would like to be there when the players come on and off the ice for pregame so you showing us around would be cool. This hatter case sounds interesting to see as well. It's funny to hear you say one sammich place over the other. It is just how they showed it on Food Network! Is Pat's the neon one?

Geno's is the neon one. It's garish. I've had them both, and Pat's wins for me.

I can PM one or both of you guys with my email/cell number, so we can get in touch. I don't know what it'll be like tomorrow, but I usually go to the Pavilion (bar/food place in the arena) and hang out until you're allowed in the building. You guys should have some Crabfries. :) Unless you want to cause trouble at the block party, not that I'd ever encourage that behavior... hahaha.

Shoot us both a pm.

Should we just get cheesesteaks after the plane trip and then plan on being

down at this block party and bar prior to game to enjoy the experience?

IHF, the neon one is Geno's. So with the post above, i've heard twice today that Jim's makes a mean cheesesteak. I'm a Pat's guy, but now i'm thinking about seeing if Pat's can survive the Pepsi challenge with Jim's.

Got my tix today, Section 121, Row 11, Seats 10-11. Pretty sweet. Hawks shoot twice, high enough to see all the ice. The plan now is to wear my white Kaner jersey. Last time i wore that to a playoff game was when Kane scored the hat trick against the Canucks.

I have to be honest, I don't know too much about the public transit system in Philly since I always drive, but if you can get down for a cheesesteak, that's probably your best bet. I know there's a Septa station there that services pretty much everywhere. There isn't much by the arena itself. I'm not sure what you're into, but maybe South Street or the historical landmarks will keep you occupied if you're getting in really early?

If by "enjoy the experience" you mean wade through a sea of Tang-vomit and be harped on, definitely! They usually have a pretty cool set up, if you can get past the whole Flyers thing. The party starts at 4... if I can get out of work early, I might head up then if you guys want to meet up.

I'll be in section 202, and we were also thinking about getting some cheesesteaks sometime tomorrow afternoon. We're flying there tonight so if you guys wouldnt mind another 2 Hawk fans down by the glass for warmups, just let us know where to meet!

Oh, and neither of us are of age so bars are unfortunately out of the question.

The Subway runs from about a block from the Waucovia all the way down town. It's inexpensive transportation and literally drops you off directly under the middle of the Down Town district. So if you guys wanted to get there early you'd have plenty of time to shoot down town and back. There is also some very cool architecture there as well.

I usually hang out at the blueline on the penalty box side, you're welcome to come say hello.

You guys are fine to get into the Pavilion. It has a bar, yeah, but it's open for all-ages. Drop me a PM if you want to meet up. I'm a "the more the merrier" kind of girl. :)

YOU DIRTY GIRL!!!!!

I am thinking I am gonna rent a car. There is no transport to and from my hotel, and I figure a car will let me get to any cheese steak joint, maybe hit the Mutter Museum.
