What if they think Williams is merely a very good-to-great NFL quarterback, but maybe not all time—What then?
Doesn’t matter all time. It just matters if they think he will be better than Fields. If he has a higher ceiling than Fields. That’s all that matters. If they think so, they pull the trigger.

His rushing numbers are significantly better than his passing numbers. He doesnt struggle as a runner, he struggles as a passer. This is a fact.
Rushing numbers are not better than passing numbers so not sure how you are coming up with that. He struggles plenty in short yardage runs actually.

Most of his rushing yardage is from scrambling and broken plays, not the designed runs. He is an elite athlete so he can create plays on his own, but with only two receiving threats and mediocre line, your analysis of his passing is flawed and likely biased.

That's not what confirmation bias means.

His conclusion was the Bears should keep Fields. As I stated it doesn’t matter to me. Somehow it doesn’t matter to me constitutes confirmation bias based on Riddick’s interview?

Do you know what confirmation bias means?

He had nowhere to go but up with his sack% because it was an insane 15% last year lol…kudos to him to getting it down to 10% which is still way too high and 3% higher than the league average. He needs to get it down to 7% at minimum.

Tbh, I really don’t care what direction they go. I see the appeal with both sides. They just need to get the decision right. Whatever direction they choose, it has to be the home run decision. There’s risks with either choice, but we are talking about the most important position in all of sports so they can’t bobble it. They cannot miss/pass on Watson/Mahomes/Stroud again….so if they don’t take a QB, Fields better take a huge leap while the other QBs they pass on don’t amount to much.
Watson can go **** right off. **** that guy and glad that Weinstein wanna-be never wore a Bears uniform. In 2020, he lead the NFL in QB rating while down by 3+ scores. Again **** him to hell just like Dan Marino for having laces in on Ray Finkel’s missed GW FG attempt in the Super Bowl. Laces out Dan!

Then you get the treasure chest of draft picks.

Yeah, once Watson wasn’t able to be a predator anymore, he started to suck at football. **** the Browns too for giving him that guaranteed contract

Can you imagine how much worse this board would be if Caleb Williams was white?
The same people who hate Fields would be fully onboard with Williams?

Watson sucks now and can we at least see Stroud his second year before we crown him?
