In the mod forum planning your ban
It actually is a great day! Hope your Saturday night thinking about my ban helped you take your mind off your micropenis long enough to fall asleep.

all good though. You’re not even allowed to just outright ban people anymore thanks to my temp retirement. You have to ask permission now lmaoooo. Hold on to whatever internet juice you have left Modfather. I have a feeling you won’t have any soon enough.
Not me. I just dm my dad and by the time he responds I’ve already banned someone for a month

Only got a few pages into this thread but it's painfully obvious, several posters haven't even listened to the OP's vid discussion with Riddick.

Honestly, I'm NOT a fan of Louis Riddick based on some previously idiotic takes of his, but THIS VID is well thought out, and he presents both sides, along with his recommendation as well. It's very much worth the time to play on your phone while doing something around the house, garage, or something. It'll take less time than fucking around on CCS! 😅

Or keep your opinion without even considering what's really at play in totality or why others are saying ______. 🤷‍♂️

If you're reading this and haven't listened to the vid, what are you even doing here?

And if Williams is viewed as a great QB and knowing that you've still got this big ol' fat question mark at the most important position in the sport, wouldn't it just make sense to just draft Caleb Williams?

If Poles and Cunningham come to that conclusion, I’m sure they’ll pull the trigger.

I respect Riddick, I appreciate his opinion, but there’s a reason he’s not a GM. Thinking Fields is going to jump from a career rating of 82 to an elite QB with a new OC is the rosiest and optimistic of takes.
How many "elite" QBs are there? People act like there are 20 in the league, except the Bears.....what is clear, is ur elite guys get pressured they sure look mediocre....playoffs are showing that

I'll say it again: many people are falling in love with CW w/out thinking things through properly. These folks aren't even willing to be patient and let the pre-draft process play out.

They've been so conditioned for over a year with words like "generational" being parroted about, and being told by others that "this is the guy".. that they're already blowing gaskets over the possibility there might be better options. I feel like some of them would rather be "right" than for this team to actually chose a better path.

Hypothetically, what if these guys all go through the combine, drills etc. and some of these other QBs shows out like Stroud or Richardson did last season to the point of there being obvious comparable options instead of CW (especially when measurables come out)? You can't just say, right now, that CW is the only option, or you'd be no better than Ryan Pace and his obsessing with Trubisky (completely disregarding Mahomes etc.) or the Panthers with Young (missing on Stroud because they were fed the "this guy is just better" story for a year building up to the draft).

(*and surprisingly, I didn't even mention Fields and the haul here.)

Folks need to really consider why they think they want CW and only CW so bad. And consider your outside sources too (not everyone trumpeting info wants to see the Bears do/choose well.)

For real. It's been exhausting and we haven't even hit the combine yet.

I'm confident that Poles & Co. will weigh the trade-offs in either direction in order to make the best decision(s) for the team as a whole. And to win games asap. That last part is key because they probably realize that it IS winning time.

People keep taliking about a reset...

I think the Bears staff need to make the playoffs next year or they are gone.

Mediocre ones don't get that chance or look worse.

Right... can you imagine Poles sticking Flus with a rookie QB in a must win season?

..or do they draft, go through free agency, etc. with the expectation that they have more time now that they "reset the clock"?

(*Edited this a few times, my bad)

Stroud was Stroud before the combine. GMs didn't just discover him there. Scouts and GMs are not Colin Cowherd.

The only way I see them drafting a new QB is the expectation that it would be ok to miss the playoffs next year.

Maybe try talking football without attacking people or making everything personal. You seem like a bully and a jerk. Are you like that in real life?

In any case, whether the Bears are going to screw up Williams as bad as they’ve screwed up Fields is, again, not a reason to stick with Fields. If he’s not the guy, he’s not the guy, no matter who’s “at fault”.
You say this but then I see you jumping in and attacking people who don't think Caleb Williams is the bestest evar...

And you comment on my lack of self-awareness.

Not sure I agree with Riddick’s logic. Coaches get fired when the team plays bad, regardless of who's fault it is. That’s how the hierarchy of management works.

So by Riddick’s logic, if they get rid of Fields, that means the Bears felt he was the problem and therefore it was the right decision.

But I can’t agree more with what he said about consistenc, except that he said Fields has it. No, he doesn’t. Fields is wildly inconsistent on the field, where it really counts.

Really good listen.. sorry if already posted:

This is so stupid. Justin Fields is the second to the worst QB in the NFL since he was drafted. He's not going to suddenly go to a really bad team and become really good.

He's not going to go to Atlanta and become a Top-5 QB in the NFL. He's not going to go to New England and become Tom Brady. These idiots are putting forth hypotheticals without even looking at the rosters of the teams he may get traded to. None of the teams mentioned as possible landing spots have better offensive rosters than the Bears.

This was a long drawn out way to say others know a lot more about Caleb williams than you and had actually watched him enough to realize he was a great prospect before seeing his combine or his pro day lol
