The only thing I don't like about Jones is how weak his arm is but his decision making and ability to read the field is pretty high.

His arm strength is fine. The concern is lack of athleticism.

He can't make Russell Wilson type plays, he is a pocket passer.

So at the upper end he is a Matt Ryan or Kirk Cousins, which would be fine. On the lower end his lack of elusiveness takes its toll and he becomes a Jimmy G type player.

He isn’t worth trading up for...he is worth trading down for in my opinion

Imagine if a guy had Colts O line, Calvin Johnson and Jerry Rice at receiver, Kelce at tight end, Emmit Smith at RB and ‘85 Bears D to boot.

Don’t be that team that drafts a QB from Alabama and then asks why your franchise is pathetic. You basically have to go back to the Civil Rights movement in 60s to find a QB from Alabama that panned out.

So do you still want Macky Jones as the Bears franchise QB? Is he elite like Tua?

Arm strength and mobility are the traits meatballs drool all over but they are lower class traits for a successful nfl QB.

Being able to read a defense, accuracy, and pocket presence are far and away the most important traits for a qb. Mac Jones succeeding or not won't have much to do with his lack of mobility or arm strength.

Didn’t Joe Morrow, Trevor Lawerence, and Tua have elite teams? He practiced well in Senior Bowl. I think he has got the it factor where it comes to accuracy and knowing where to throw the ball.

Athletically is a different beast, but that can be improved over time. I tired of seeing Bears QB take a sack due to not reading plays, over throwingWRs, or throwing the ball where WRs can’t get YAC.

I'd settle for functional. Jones is limited. He won't hold ends on RPOs and needs to strengthen his arm but he can dish and likely do it well at the next level.

Yep, and thats not even mobility. It's pocket presence. Tom brady is a terribad athlete but he's got as good of pocket presence as any QB to ever play the game so he almost never gets sacked.

The running option in the RPO is usually a running back.

He throws 60 yard bombs just fine.... The top 15 throws in the nfl the last 20 years are between 62-74.....
