Kane breaks out vs a sieve in Gustavsson. Yeah real impressive.

Kane is a cocky little dude for somebody who has 5 goals in the last 2 months.

Yeah great game vs a team that can't play defense.

just saying a guy who isn't even in the top 20 in the NHL in points, shouldn't be acting like a cocky asshole.

What's funny is no one responds to his first post then he just keeps posting about it till someone does.

I guess Dewey's advice that he'll stop if nobody responds doesn't work.

I'm not so sure what Kane did wrong... other than score a goal and celebrate, which pisses off Joe because the Hawks won by 1.

And this is why CaptSerious just completely ruins the quality of conversation.

I was at the game and unlike some I was actually rooting for the Blackhawks to win. A lot of TML fans in the house last night, those fans are dedicated and probably had to pay a pretty penny for those seats.

I liked what I saw from Bollig last night. He was looking for a fight the entire game and finally found a taker in Schenn. Gave the crowd a lot of energy and the bench was loving it. Bollig did try to go with Brown on two separate times but just wasn't the right time for Brown who usually obliges. With just under 6 minutes on ice and 2 shots on goal (one quality one) I liked what I saw for the role that he is in.

Shaw also had a nice game. Looks like he was embracing the role that got him here and hopefully he sticks to it this time.

I think Olsen needs to sit. He is looking tired and starting to get beat regularly wide.

Emery played solid in his relief appearance.

Other than that it was a pretty sloppy game and I'm just happy the Blackhawks came up with 2 pts.

look who was in front again...

Brunette!

Well its true, he was in front of the net "again" meaning he has done it before. He isnt very good at it, so to get excited about a player who has contributed to shit in the last 2 months is a reach

I still don't understand how he isn't very good at it. He gets right in front of the goalie and on last night's goal he screened him and it created havoc and a goal. Brunette also has great hand eye in front of the net, which has been seen on numerous occasions this year.

Brunette is basically good at two things...

1. Setting up behind the net
2. Setting up in front of the net

After that he doesn't bring a lot to the table and never really has. However, he is GOOD at those two things.

Brunette makes 2Mil and has 9 goals.

Datsyuk makes 6.7Mil and has 16 goals.

Clearly Brunette is the better value.

One day maybe you will learn that goals aren't everything. You seemed to have learn that over at HB with your Kruger post but you show no sign of it here.

Konroyd mentioned during the broadcast that Shaw wanted to get back to that kind of play. I was glad to hear it (and see it).

I can't even remember seeing Shaw get knocked off of the puck or being out of position. The last few games he was up here he was trying to do way more than his skill set allows, and he got hung out to dry that way (Corey Crawford anyone?)

Quick question for people here...does anyone enjoy Konroyd on the telecast?

I admit directly behind the net he is effective. In front of the net as I have stated he isnt very good. He doesnt position himself well enough to disrupt the goalie. He was awful at doing this "speciality" on the o/39 PP slump. He was boxed out every single time. And with the odds of a player doing it right, they wouldnt have gone into such a long slump.

now thats just silly. If you are going by direct points that is one thing kinda like joe.

but a 5.1 OPS and a 1.8 DPS for pavel vs a 1.1 OPS and a 0.3 DPS for brunette, the value seems about right.

During that slump (when they were 0/31) the Blackhawks had 34 shots at that point. That has very little to do with the guy in front of the goalie and has everything to do with the inability to put shots on net for one reason or another. Also, Brunette is on the 2nd PP unit and not the 1st...once again shouldering less of the blame. He wasn't boxed out every single time, not even close.

Well some people were calling him a PP wizard & predicting 25 goals.

He may not even touch 13-14 goals with only 17 to play.

Can't wait for his washed up his ass to leave.

Who predicted 25 goals?

I say this knowing that you will never give me an answer because you talk out of your ass.

I've always said it he just posts shit to say it. I mean look at his Fantasy Hockey numbers, he needs all the attention he can get...
