I was wondering after seeing all of the threads about Alshon and the fact that he's made Brandon Marshall pretty much expendable, and seeing that Earl Bennett is probably done producing for the season (let's face it, Trestman put those incentives in his contract like he did for a reason, he knows Earl is just kind of a here and there kind of player) do you guys think we see more of Marquis in the final couple of games? The kid isn't afraid of going over the middle because he's not as fragile as Earl and we really need a slot guy to replace Marshall when the Bears let him walk with Cutler next season. Seems like a pretty good plan to see what this kid has got.
I don't know, I think one could attribute a good chunk of Jefferys success to Marshall just being on the field & drawing coverage. Any way you slice it I hope the Bears have an explosive WR tandem on the outside in hopes that Wilson can top things off in the lot.
*EDIT: I just bit on sarcasm didn't I?

Yes, you did. In all fairness though, HeHateMe is doing a pretty good job at the moment.
The thing is, how many hip surgeries can Marshall ensure before is wheels fall off? Sure he's been pretty good for the bears but I'm curious why he didn't take Wilson under his wing like he did with Alshon? Maybe this kid is a threat?

I've said it before. He needs to be willing to run block if he wants more field time. He looked unworthy a few times throughout the year being on field.

I have a question. What has Emery or Trestman said or done that even remotely suggests that Cutler will not be signed to an extention? Everything that has been said and done by the GM and HC points to the fact that Cutler is their guy. The Bears finally have the players, coach and scheme that catapulted the Bears O out of the 1950's and can hang with the best in the NFL.
Anyone who actually thinks that Emery is going to let Cutler walk next year is really delusional.
