Tin Foil is the only way out for you Mick.

"treat each other terribly"

Could mean a multitude of things...Like Bad Bad relationship. Which with you can relate to most likely.

Doesn't mean he hit her...She wrote the letter dope and signed it. FACT

And just about five hours ago he claimed the letter wasn't true.

But the issue is your belief that this ("this" being the story being brought forward yesterday) isn't really about the effort to expose the NFL's failure to deal with abuse appropriately, but rather is just an opportunistic money-grab by Allred (even though there's absolutely no civil litigation or money involved in it at all). So perhaps you should wear that tinfoil helmet yourself.

A caller is now discussing Borderling Personality Disorder. Of course, in addition to be a medical and legal expert, Dan will now be an expert on mental health issues.
Ah yes. Marshall's excuse for being a woman-bashing POS.

So you are in favor rehabilitation over prison, but don't accept medically recognized mental disorders.
And calling BM a POS, marginalizing the mental disorder he has been diagnosed with, recognized, and overcome, you are actually just as guilty, if not more of the victim blaming you so despise.

I'm talking about the venom that always comes out any time someone accuses a Bears player of anything. Mostly towards women who are victims, but are viewed by ignorant sports fans as money/attention seeking cunts. Sports boards full of rabid fans are the very best place to find society's ugliest misogyny.
You now want to rail about some alleged 5 year old abuse to his girlfriends car. BM's history of violent issues in the past are well known, most have herald his ability to change, but since you feel he is a POS hiding behind a medical diagnosis, why have you not been vocal about your disdain for his being a Bear until G Allred brought it back up? When posters were talking about his great play this Sunday while injured, you were silent about his despicable past. Only since GA dredged up his well known past have you voiced your outrage. Hypocrite much?

I have no problem with Brandon feeling the need to defend his reputation and counter that ridiculous press conference yesterday.

He did come off as a little disorganized and self egrandizing.

I have moved onto actual football.

First, Mick is a moron. Let's get that out of the way first and foremost.

Second, I think we need to be careful to not write off the incidences between Brandon and his ex as pretty much nothing but a money grab by the woman involved. I think there were a lot of things that Brandon that he regrets and he's said as much. It appears that there were some extortion attempts as well.

Third, I don't think what Brandon did today was bad by any means. He maybe rambled a bit and perhaps could have articulated some things a little better but it wasn't disastrous.

Finally, **** DAN BERNSTEIN. I'm not including Terry in this because I think he's fine when Bernstein isn't around so I think he kind of just plays along and gets roped in. But Bernstein is a complete jackoff and a narcissistic joke of a "media member". There are multiple incidences where he blatantly makes up things Brandon said or completely leaves out other things which twists what Marshall actually said. The guy is a complete hack and it's a shame that anyone listens to him.

WTF are you talking about? Because I know that Marshall was a domestic abuser, I'm supposed to talk about it every day? I didn't enter this discussion to express outrage over Marshall's past, I entered it to help put straight the fallacy that this is a money'grabbing attempt, as opposed to what it actually is - adding to the already established momentum to expose the NFL's failure to take abuse seriously. Why do you think it's happening at the same time as all the other abuse cases are coming out?

LOL Mick get the Tin foil out....

He stated at the 12 minute mark that it wasn't all true because they treated each other bad..They had a bad relationship. He Never dismissed the money portion...

LOFL just make it up as you go..

I guess you missed at the 16 minute mark where he read the Councillors remarks how she Miss Watley was the abusive person....LOL

Keep trying though

So you have just kept your feelings that BM is women beating POS that hides behind a fictitious medical diagnosis silent these past 3 years? Yeah, you have never been known to drone on about a player you dislike.

I didn't miss any of it. Bernstein was exactly right - it was a clusterfuck of a press conference and little more than Marshall clumsily painting himself as a victim.

In this instance with ESPN he was the victim. This is the stupid shit that people like you and oh Danny boy are trumpeting out there. You act like Marshall didn't acknowledge his part in all of the instances with his ex. He did.

Nobody ever said he wasn't in a bad/volitile relationship...But he counters all the crap about him beating on her...He has court documentation to refute the allegations on ESPN on him hitting her...

He laid it all out and read it in his presser and released it to the press. He was very sad that ESPN did not do any due diligence to look at the public documents available that exonerated his side. But they chose to go for ratings verses the truth.

She's already extremely well known. She doesn't need to make a name. Get a fucking grip Monk.
What better way to stay on the day time talk shows?

The money grab may have nothing to do about the "victim" grabbing money:

You called his BPD diagnosis an "excuse."
So explain to me if he has a diagnosed mental disorder that causes inappropriate responses of rage, and you call him a POS woman beater using his diagnose as an excuse, are all mental disorders just excuses? Depression, Bipolar, PTSD, schizophrenia. Interesting.

So does anyone have any evidence that they're getting money out of this, and that it's nothing to do with adding momentum to the efforts to expose the NFL's failures to deal with abuse?
