I met your wife at a bar. How coincidental
You finally made me LOL, aboot time.

Yeah, there too. But mostly at a pathetic establishment in Genoa City, WI named Pub N Grub.
Again, not proud. And still working on un-remembering some of those pig hunts.
You single dudes are lucky AF to have these wonderful tools to find floozies, and occasionally, I guess, wives.
I was born in the '60s, and when i was in HS trying my best to get laid (*like everyone else), I would have killed for such poon access.
I met my first & current wife before any of these sites existed, so turned out fine ultimately, but damn we had to try so much harder to source women.
Case in point: when we were ~16 yrs old, drinking age in WI was 18, we had fake IDs and routinely would load a car up on I294 to hit the dive bars across the IL/WI border. Mostly fat chicks and passed-out sailors there, slim pickings.
Not proud of things I did back then, technology would have helped immensely, you guys have it good, at least from the outside in.
BTW, If I ever became single again I would shotgun the webz like a guy released from prison.
I had a similar experience. Mostly ended up at Lake Geneva bars. Hogs and Kisses, Fat Cats, Como...
Edit: Just read 51's post. I'm surprised Fat Cats is still there. There was one other popular place we went to a lot but I can't remember the name. It will probably come to mind at 4:00 a.m. Any other old bars there you remember?
ah...to be young and single. Sometimes I miss the fun and chase, If I were a single man today, I don't think I'd like swiping right or left. Just me. I'd go to a club or the gym to pick up girls. I prefer the rush I get out of talking to a girl in person instead of just swiping right or left. Plus as my wife says, my text game is weak
My dating life overlaps with the transition. Didn't discover Tinder and the like until I was around 30 or so. I must say, the last 7 years or so of dating went a lot smoother than the first 15 years. Given how much time I spend behind a computer at work, it made it a lot easier to just swipe like 50 during a break and all you needed was a couple hits and your weekend was planned. Got to the point where I pretty much didn't go bar hopping or clubbing to look for girls as I already had them lined up online. Shit was great.
Although now I in a hybrid model as moved back to the Bahamas and the locals here generally don't do the online dating as there is still stigma here and the island is small so word gets around quick. So pretty much have to go old school to meet any local Bahamians. On the bright side, we have so many tourists coming through here that my online apps are now almost exclusively a "do you wanna ****," type deal as it is filled with tourists looking for a local to show them a good time. Just took these Canadian girls out boating to one of the little uninhabited islands here with a couple of my boys. Did a beachside BBQ.
Sadly, I only have about 6months to a year before my face is known around this town and local girls start asking me why they hear I on Tinder, lol.
P.S. I would advise you to never let your wife/significant other go on a "girls trip" anywhere in the Caribbean unless you trust here with your life. The amount of women I see with rings or supposedly in long term relationships acting like they back in college is astounding. Makes me even more committed to the idea of not getting married. These hoes ain't loyal.

Hogs and Kisses? Biker bar or just fat bitches? Or both?
An uninhabited island and "only" bbq? Seems that island would be the perfect spot for some booty action.
Somewhat of a double standard. If a male goes on a 'boys trip' what do you think happens? lol
Lol, a gentleman does not reveal the intimate details of what happens on Da Island. It is sort of like Vegas in that regard.
I wouldn't advise a women to let their husband/significant other on a boys trip to the Caribbean unless they can really trust them either. I just didn't bring it up because I'm heterosexual so I personally am not involved in whatever debauchery they getting themselves into.
Rocket North in Kenosha. Uggggh......
No, it was in downtown Lake Geneva. Kind of a dance bar with a DJ.
I don't know man, it was pretty chaotic back then, drinking laws were changing every day. I got lucky and turned 19 right after Illinois changed to beer/wine age to 19, and turned 21 right before they set it back to 21. If you guys want a stupid 'the night they turned it back to 21' story, ask.
We need to test this theory. Whose sending their wife to the Bahamas?
