Did you know that turtles hibernate? I knew someone that had a couple small turtles. When it was hibernation time, he would just put them in a kitchen drawer. He knew hibernation was over when he would hear the drawer start moving around.

WTF, how did dude die? Did you not feed it or some shit as dudes rarely die. My one heartbreak with a tortoise I had is dude got under the fence of our yard one day and ran away into the woods nearby. Pretty embarrassing for a tortoise to run away. I spent days looking for the bastard until I found him holed up under some collapsed trees and rocks. So I stick my hand in there to get the ****** and dude nearly takes my finger off. I then tried waiting him out thinking he had to come out at some point but dude was too patient and I gave up after a few hours. I tried coming back periodically but he was either always under that fucking tree or I simply couldn't find his ass. Dude was the greatest hide and seek player of all time.

He's ours and he's beautiful. We were first and had pick of the litter. This guy had at least 5 lbs on the rest and was about 3 inches taller. Crazy trip. They were Amish farmers and the town was having an Amish festival. Horse drawn wagons everywhere. Wife just gave him a bath and weighed him. 20 lbs. He was born June 7. I'm so fucking happy today.
