You want to pay Nate Robinson that money...then barely play him? Seriously??? You have Rose, Hinrich, Teague...then you have Butler at the SG spot. Dunleavy brings competent relief to Deng at the 3 spot.

Is Nate Robinson going to be the new Ben Gordon on this forum? I hope not, I can't take too much more of that stuff...

Why is everyone so obsessed with re-signing Nate? The guy had some good scoring moments, but it's not as if he was going to get minutes at SG next year, and with DRose back he'd be a 3rd string PG who can't really run an offense and makes questionable decisions consistently. Dunleavy, I'm "eh" on, as I think you could've gotten Korver back for that...but whatever...I def don't think JR Smith was coming for 3mil per

I like Dunleavy's game much more than Korver. Intelligent complete player, doesn't panic with the ball, good passer, keeps plays moving.

He should compliment us well and make us tough at home.

I wish we could wiggle Royce White out of Houston because he could easily drive to all our league games.

Hey now we have to listen daily about your LeBron shit so you have to deal with the Ben Gordon talk :troll:

As for Dunleavy I'm not sure why there is so much hate  He's better than Korver is and a lot of people wanted him to come back this year. Last season he shot 43% from 3. We definitely have upgraded our 3 point shooting from a year ago. Teams are relying on the 3 more than ever now so I don't see it as a bad move at all. Plus, assume he plays out this year and we don't want him next year, at 1 year and only 3 million he should be fairly easy to get rid of via trade.

I don't get it...anything Dunleavy can do Korver can do. They're basically the same player except Dunleavy rebounds a little bit better and Korver hits 3s a lot better.

Lol...difference is, I was right...and that's something you can't handle...so you have to bring him up. Sad.

Lets stick with the Dunleavy talk...

ALL DEM DUKIES! :fap:

Honestly, Duke homerism aside, I like the signing. He's a really good 3 pt shooter, smart guy, accepts a role on the bench, and came cheap. All of you saying "Should've thrown that money @ Nate" -- he's going to sign for more. And LMMFAO at the "would be better off to not spend the money"... now how the hell does that make any sense? Dunleavy shot 42% from 3 last season, shoots 82% from the FT line, and can help spread the floor. It's not a sexy sign, but that doesn't make it a bad one. On top of that, he's a very tradeable asset, so if we need to find a taker for next year's FA crop, we can.

My issue is the Bulls addressed shooting in the draft with Snell and Murphy. Not sure how spending $3M on a shooter is going to beat Miami when the Bulls already have shooters in the fold.

Knowing Thibs - it's nice to have a shooter that'll, ya know....play...

I'd just rather of seen the money be spent on a quality backup big first  Kind of glad to see them have interest in Blatche and Brand.

Boozer or Noah always seems to be injured.

I'd love to have signed Battier over Dunleavy

Battier is one of my all-time favorite collegiate players...and he's had a nice NBA career...but he would get about nil minutes on this team. Can't play the two, behind Deng and Butler @ the 3...

Butler can play the 2. Again, you're falling into this idea of positions within the game, that no longer mean anything. I seem to remember a lineup that included Lebron-Wade-Battier that did pretty well.

That line-up did fantastic.....when LeBron dominated the ball and Battier remembered how to hit a wide-open jumper.

I guess my point was...Battier would offer a lesser version of something we already have (Deng), while Dunleavy gives the Bulls something they're going to need (perimeter scoring)...

Well that's a different argument than what I responded to, and one I would tend to agree with it. I just think that given the kind of rotations Miami had throughout the playoffs, it shows you that you don't have to rely on this idea of 2-3-4, etc...

Of course, it helps having Lebron, but I digress...
