Well that's a different argument than what I responded to, and one I would tend to agree with it. I just think that given the kind of rotations Miami had throughout the playoffs, it shows you that you don't have to rely on this idea of 2-3-4, etc...

Of course, it helps having Lebron, but I digress...

Yeah, I think we're both pretty much on the same page here. haha

Battier is one of my all-time favorite collegiate players...and he's had a nice NBA career...but he would get about nil minutes on this team. Can't play the two, behind Deng and Butler @ the 3...
Play him (or Deng) at the 4. Problem solved. :smug:

Butler can play the 2. Again, you're falling into this idea of positions within the game, that no longer mean anything. I seem to remember a lineup that included Lebron-Wade-Battier that did pretty well.

Thank God LeBron, Wade and Battier are all on the...oh wait.

Are you so hung up on trying to get at me that you will not follow the context of the discussion?

You made an apples and oranges comparison. Every roster is constructed differently, and when the best player on the team can play all 5 positions, play them at G.O.A.T. levels and help his team at each position, it makes it easier to plug in 4 guys around him. The Bulls best (healthy) players are bigs that take up 3-4 spots on the floor already. You could roll with Butler-Battier-Deng-Boozer-Noah, but then the Bulls would have to figure out who the ball-handler would be.

That's actually not what I was saying, but thanks for playing.

I like the idea of Dunleavy. Anyone know if he can play defense? I'm hoping he's at least better than Korver in that arena

Battier would be a nice piece to have, regardless.

Anyone else watch him on ESPN do the NBA Draft coverage?

Yeah - he struggled more than I thought he would -- but he'll work for ESPN or CBS (college level) as soon as he retires, if he wants.

Lol...difference is, I was right...and that's something you can't handle...so you have to bring him up. Sad.

Lets stick with the Dunleavy talk...

You just don't want to admit how much fun it was seeing Ray Allen and Ben Gordon trade 3s in the clutch back in the 09 playoffs...more exciting then any playoff series Lebron has played in :troll:

The 7 games in the Finals this year was much more exciting than any one playoff game.

You want to pay Nate Robinson that money...then barely play him? Seriously??? You have Rose, Hinrich, Teague...then you have Butler at the SG spot. Dunleavy brings competent relief to Deng at the 3 spot.

We got a good player for next to nothing. I'm thrilled we didn't leave this off-season saying, "We didn't get enough shooting."

He's a much better athlete/defender than Korver ever was and remember- Korver cost us 5mil/yr while Dunleavy is costing us 3. The guy shot 42% from 3 last year and shot 45% from 3 against Miami in the playoffs. The Bulls did well on this as he'll give us time at the 2 and 3 right out of the gate.

Aggrey Sam: League source said Dunleavy was offered upward of full MLE by at least 1 team, turned it down. Twitter @CSNBullsInsider

Not surprised...

Baffles me that more people would rather see Marco come back over signing Dunleavy :pity:

Marco is still improving(plus he has one year under the system). Dunleavy is declining.

He's been in the league 6 years and has already played for 4 teams. About to be 5 in 7 years. Dunleavy is more consistent and a better shooter than he is.

Boy your debate points are horrible....who cares about that series? It was great in its competitiveness, not because there was a high grade of basketball played. James by himself played a higher caliber of basketball in game 7 than what was played in that whole damn series. Please stop.
