Right, none of those players should be starters so beating one of them would have no bearing on if the player was ready. It would be different if the draft pick beat out someone of some value like glennon or Bradford, or Foles. just imagine how fans heads will explode when the #3 overall pick starts week 1 and does not look ready.

When you factor in the $, yup, I am.
Hoyer has less upside than Glennon, so I prefer taking a chance on Glennon.
Pace will then probably draft Kaaya in round 3 as the future franchise QB to compete with Glennon and Shaw.
If Chicago could put up with 9 years of Cutler suckage, and 3-4 years of "Grossman is our QB" then they can handle a talented rookie QB struggling for a few weeks/months.
