I guess I see the reasoning behind this, but I don't think it'll work. Especially with the Bears hiring a passing game coordinator.
Wouldn't it make sense, to hire a coordinator that will be with Cutler regardless of what the team does next year.

Tice is a good O-line coach. He should stick with that. I really thought the Bears were going to do something smart this time. Shame on me for being optimistic.

They are saying now that they are going to have co-coordinators Tice as running game/playcaller and a QB coach/Passing game coordinator.

I like the move.
1. He knows the personnel and has a grasp of what they can and cannot do, something Martz never thought of.
2. He called plays in Minnesota and was involved in the process in Jacksonville.
3. Our offense got better when he stepped in and started having more input on game plans.
This is not like hiring Bill Walsh, but I am fie with the move.

So let me get this straight...
The Bears promoted Tice to OC..yet by the mere function of him needing a passing game coordinator they are basically admitting he isn't qualified enough to run an entire offense.
