My god you all whine soooo much. Tice was the primary play caller in Minnesota for a few years as Linnehan (or however you spell it) was making the transition to OC. Tice has stated that getting better at the WR position is something he intends to do. And he meant getting someone else in here. He also stated essentially verything that people have been complaining about. He wants more play action, more boots, power running game. I don't see what the big deal is. I personally think he will do a great job. Plus, he's not going to go out there and call a bunch of 7 step drops leaving Cutler to get killed.

Damn the first 6 pages of this thread were nothin but a bunch of spazes. Lol

This was the most obvious thing that was going to happen. Was it not? Tice, Lovie, and Jay were on all on the same page when it came to Mike Martz getting his head out of his ass.

This also means, and very importantly, alot less transition. They are going to be doing the same things they did last year before Jay got hurt.

Who was honeslty thinking they would get some great offensive mind? And I dont give a damn about the passing game coordinator. Todd Haley and Sean Payton were passing game coordinators in the past. All that really means anyway is nothing. Its just a title for some position coach.

Seattle's offense was kinda weak 2 years ago no?

And last year he was out of NFL football all together.

And he coordinator a top 5 offense when he was with Cutler:shrug:

I just don't understand how a guy like Todd Haley isn't interviewed for the position.

It really looks like a wait and see position while DA BEARS do their homework and the best slips away.

Power football, bootlegs = at least 3 touchdowns from the offense each game, we get a guy like V. Jackson and Cutler gets 3,800 yards or more in a year, also Forte should be on track next year for 1,300 yards rushing, we have a promising offense, with Tice running the offense... is there something wrong with me having some hope for next year? :tiptoe:

Nailed it. A passing coordinator is often used in college. They don't call plays, they just run essentially the QBs and WRs and help develop a more in depth passing system.

I for one am glad the Bears promoted Tice. He has addressed everything that everyone was bitching about and now people are bitching that he got promotoed. To people who want to bring in Haley.... he runs a passing offense. Why would you want to bring in a passing O-cood. (i.e. Martz) and hope to god your QB doesn't get killed?

First of all, he was the co-offensive coordinator. He called the passing plays and Dennison called the running plays. Second of all, Shanahan was more heavily involved in the play selection during the 15 scripted plays at the beginning of the game. The difference was almost night and day.

I wouldnt really be excited about Bates but I thought you might go that route since Cutler liked him in Denver. I think you're better off with Tice.

I agree with what you said. tice also called plays for Minnesota while Linnehan was transitioning to the OC.

You're right, one playoff appearance in the last 5 years is outstanding.

Lets give Lovie an even bigger extension. Party at my place.
