What do you think about Javon Holland who played for Miami last year? I like both him and Moehrig but not sure what each will be looking for in free agency.
I like him, but he's going to get paid very well. I am guessing 18/year +

Holland seems to be the more expensive target plus my research on him shows that Miami fans feel he is a poor tackler and underachiever. That's a enough of a red flag for me to steer clear of him.

So your research was going to a Dolphins message board and listening to what the fans say? He's a really good player.

Your Offensive line is still a little thin for my taste. Especially Center. But, you can't fix everything in one year. I would prefer using FA to get a Center and two guards and live with Jones as a starter and draft a backup T with potential. I wouldn't be drafting a WR or LB either. But may consider a TE.

Maybe I would just rather have Brown as a Guard that backs up Center.

Of course not, although I get it my comment does oversimplify the process.

If the goal is to make life easier on the 2nd year QB, give him a strong running game that can carry the offense even if the passing game is stalled.

What happens if DJ or Odunze gets hurt, are you hoping Roschon & Swift suddenly become world beaters?

If you build through the trenches, having an elite RB isn't needed. Not to mention, take out Saquon, tell me when an elite RB was the reason a team wins the Super Bowl....And the Chiefs bottled up Saquon as well, thus forcing Hurts to beat them with his arm and legs.

Look at all the "elite" RB's in the league, how many rings do they have......1 and that was this year. Aaron Jones, King Henry, CMac, Jonathan Taylor, Bijan Robinson, etc have a combined 0 rings. Having an Elite RB is really overrated in today's game. Hell, Saquon didn't really do anything until he joined an already made SB level team. Same with Derrick Henry, he went to a ready-made SB team and once the playoffs started, didn't impact the game.

Holding any RB to a standard no other player in football is held to... ie "being THE reason a team wins the superbowl" is an extreme over simplification.

Defense+Running game is one successful way of building a superbowl champion, All-world QB+Unstoppable Pass game is another.

I can't recall which single RB led his team to win it all but plenty of teams get to the playoffs and beyond based on the running game. Both times the Eagles have won it was the D and running game. Brady's last superbowl win he sucked in the playoffs and was carried by Leonard Fournette in the playoffs.

Ravens, Seahawks, Broncos, etc. Ultimately the point I made was how to help a young QB that is still learning how to win and the answer was a strong running game. That can also be proven with countless examples. Take the pressure off of him to not have to carry the team on his shoulders and he has better chance of not developing bad habits or losing confidence under the weight of expectations.

That is a major concern for a guy like CW, if you give him arguably the 2nd best RB in the draft to lean on by using the #41 pick, I consider it a smart investment.

I’d rather use those tops 3 picks on the lines. That being said, if they fill the holes on the lines or at least make an effort to get it most of the way there I wouldn’t lose it because they used the 41st pick on a guy like Hampton. I’d probably rather go safety than RB in that spot though. You can still get a good RB at 72 with the depth at the position.

People push this nonsense that Swift is average. It’s kind of bullshit. He’s not elite, but he’s a good RB. He’s a quality starting RB in this league. He’s not big enough to be a workhorse. He needs to be in some sort of committee. Outside of a handful of guys every RB needs to be in a committee these days though. That’s not some huge knock on him. Pairing him with a good young player coming out of college who brings more to the table than Roschon is a good idea. It’s also kind of a luxury pick and unless we’ve shored up the lines I’m loading up on big bodies in the trenches
