He was pretty noticeable with his physical play when I watched him during his call ups last season....

Eh, sometimes. He started really brightly but ultimately never did any one thing with consistency or consistent effort which is why he got sent back down to Rockford while Shaw stuck. He played himself off of sticking with the roster last season IMO. The Hawks really like him and want him to succeed so for them to send him back down showed that he really needed some more AHL time. The growth after some initial inconsistency in Rockford this season may make it happen for him this time though---it's all up to him.

And who knows, maybe playing physical will be what he does this time in order to stay with the big boys.

He's been on absolute FIRE lately. Had a 5pt game two games ago. Hat Trick and 2 assists.

I also believe he's the only Hog with 20 plus goals this year.

He started awesome, then they moved him to Center in another fucked up experiment, of which his production and performance on the ice showed.

This year they needed Shaw to play Center so had no spots open for Hayes with Saad already making the team. I'm not sure he walked his way off the team. Unfortunately in Chicago there's not many places to put any depth until an injury happens.

Yeah, I was talking about last season really when JHayes played up in Chicago. I thought he started out well last season when he came to Chicago but then nothing ever really stuck in terms of consistency and effort and then they sent him back down to Rockford in March which I think was appropriate---he wasn't doing much when they sent him down. That's what I am saying about playing his way off the roster. Shaw did what he had to justify them keeping him up in the eyes of the Hawks brass. This season I thought JHayes started well in Rockford but then a bit of inconsistency crept in but then he kicked it back up and played well consistently again before they pulled the rug out from under him and decided to start playing him at C which then didn't go well but now he's got the consistency back and is playing VERY well obviously. It's a goddamn ROLLERCOASTER!!!

No. He and Mo both have 22 goals on the year. Pirri and Smith are not far behind them with 18.
