 yeah thats it, shit on him because you dont want to look like a fan.

you used allstar games played for one. All star game selections are meaningless.

you used points in your arguement, but when I use them in my arguements you disagree with using points. so hypocrit?

The biggest meatball comment is using the game winning goal as a back bone. scoring the game winning goal has zero to do with a players overall performance and whether he is overrrated or underrated.

Im curious, how many hawks games do you go to a year? you probably watch most on tv but will say you are a season ticket holder or you go to 30 plus games. go to a game and watch kane.

You don't have to go to hockey games to be a good fan. I've never been to a Blackhawks game. I'm still a fan.

its a tasty "homer" i think

no, a homer just thinks everything is perfect and there is nothing wrong with anything that a team does or doesnt do, almost an apologist.

A meatball came from the fans who were stating to bring back coach ditka, how the next cubs coach needs to have fire and passion, and how the sox need someone grindy. a good example of a meatball is kasper, who always talks about garza cheerleading on the side and that the game needs more of that, when hawk harrelson is a homer.

jeus christ. thats not my point. When you go to a lot of games you see things ( a lot of things ) that you will not see watching a game on TV. hence fan scouting.

You know when I went to a lot of IHL games (season tickeys for a couple of seasons, and then knew someone which basically meant I saw most home games in 3 seasons).

It is a sad fact that not everyone attending a game actually has a clue about the game.

In fact there, in KC, it was so bad that they felt that they had to have their PA guy tell the crowd when the puck was out of play, as well as where the faceoff was being held. Yes, it was dumbed down hockey - my point may or may not be valid, in that conventional logic says that they felt their audience had no clue about hockey so they had to give those "helpful" pointers...

otoh, they (the people deciding that the PA guy should do that) could have been that dense as well. At any rate, it was annoying as hell.

A lot of people thought that the best seats to get were at about the redline (the old getting seats on the 50 yard line idea)- only thing is the best seats (for me ) are generally up above and behind one of the goals - I have read that some like the ones in the corners -but for me -I liked being at the end - it being the same angle that you play (sorta like why I liked the bleacher seats better than more expensive seats at both Wrigley (back in the day when they weren't some bs status symbol), and even Kaufman Stadium in KC (Comiskey wasn't as accessable to me -and KCs' stadium is like basically built as a compliment to a giant parking lot which shares space with their NFL stadium -right off I-70 (nearly as convenient as a truck stop). Although - if ever going to a Chiefs game - use backroads... man does that clog the traffic (positively Chicago style in the traffic jams ... although in a work day - "rush hour" was basically being stuck in traffic for maybe 20 -30 minutes tops ... usually less).

Ok, fair enough, however I am saying that not all fans necessarily have much of an idea about what they are talking about.

I've met a lot of young kids actually playing hockey that have no clue, because they decided they didn't need a coach -and that everyone chasing the puck = positional play.

Buff.... so tell me, are you a mozerella guy, or a parmesan guy? Marinara or Alfredo? Are you more comfortable among rolls, or do you perfer pasta?

Me? Make it marinara, a lot of parmesan, and - definitely linguini :D
Ok, screw that-- melt some mozerella too ... and don't forget that stinking garlic bread.

I was just making sure that that wasn't your point. I realize that watching a game live is better than TV. You can see everything. I just wanted to make sure that you weren't trying to say that real fans must be STH.
