Social media is largely to blame for unrealistic expectations. People just generally don't look like that, and even the ones posting don't really look like that. Then dudes are expecting a sweet girl that you can take home to momma while being a pornstar in the bedroom, and women are expecting some billionaire prince charming. Every flaw is seen as a red flag, while at the same time everyone's expecting to find their soul mate like it's a movie, love at first sight. In reality, love is something you have to actually work at.

Think it goes deeper than them being scared to talk to woman lol that’s just what old people say. Most of the ones I know just don’t want to settle down, don’t want kids or would rather kill themselves then live the marriage/suburban lifestyle. There are also plenty of them with debt up to their eyeballs with no hope to pay it off, housing crisis etc that a Gf just sounds more expensive

This isn't all that different from previous generations. This cliche has been around for some time.... I just think the media exposure is on hyperdrive now with social media thus creating even more unrealistic expectations. We're also in an era of instagratification, so as your last line plays to, love is something you have to actually work at, no one wants to do that because it takes too long to get that instagratification.

I only know two zoomers, who are kids of one of my neighbors. I know more about the 17 year old son than his 19 year old daughter, but his son up until this year was hanging out with his friends online more than actually ever seeing each other. I guess his dad has been trying to nip that for awhile and it's finally working this year as they go out more often.
As for older zoomers, not wanting to get married in their 20s is no different than what us Millennials were doing. I'm not sure that really explains it much. Plus while GF's can be expensive, I would imagine most would also have jobs, since most women have careers now a days. No one said you had to marry them.
Also, as a generality to the rest of the forum.... people who are 26 and under are not Millennials and arguably anyone under 30, likely relates more with Zoomers than Millennials.

Oh yeah, absolutely. Just saying it's grass is greener syndrome. I think part of that is media again making it seem like the nerdy dude always gets the girl over the hot douche bag. Obviously there has to be some level of physical attraction, but it's better being with someone that's just down to earth. That goes both ways.

The thing is I used to be made fun of by "alpha bros" especurally inside of fitness forums calling me "Spaghetti arms" because I literally had "Spaghetti arms" and they said I would literally have zero chances with10s and not even 9s or 8s but then I started drinking muscle milkshakes and then got myselve a 1MM+ crypto portfolio and now here we are where I am literally beating off 10s and 9s with my **** and swiping 8s and 7s leftwards on my apps meanwhilst the "alpha bros" whomst literally have "pythons" have dry anacondas because they are now in their mid 20s still working club door-man jobs and furiously typing away on alt-right discords about how they didn't get careers because of brown people while I bypass the nightclub lines to the guest list desk with the girls that literally won't give them the time of day so the nerds do get the hotties if they do a little work on themselfs and make those dollars into millions of dollar equivalent crypto and NFTs and web3 real-estate!
