How's cross country riding? That's my goal; but I'll be getting a bigger bike for that. Keep my Triumph to ride around locally, but get a street glide couple years to take a long distance cruise.

Cross country is rough, I am not gonna lie. You get tired after too much riding... but you dont want to sit down to eat!
I am willing to bet it is a lot easier if you limit your riding time to 8-10 hours a day, and much more enjoyable. Every time I did it, I rushed and rode from sun up to sun down.
Do it smart and you will probably enjoy it a lot more than I did.

Nice bike .But I am partial to Harley's. Still trying to decide if I like the fact of adding a fairing on my Low Rider. Just got tired of the 70 MPH death grip. I don't do long trips anymore either. Just to hard on the old bones. I enjoy doing the poker runs and such.

I have never had a bike with faring... It would be nice for riding, but I never dug the look.

You ever ride a Victory? I am toying with the idea of selling my bike and getting one. They are solid bikes and dont feel as "mushy" as Harleys.
I was thinking of the Vegas series- not great for long distance, but fun as hell around town. Since short hops are all I really do, it might be perfect for me.

'08 Bonneville. Re-jetted the carbs, aftermarket pipes, bar end mirrors, m bars, and LED Headlights. It's loud

Is that so you can't hear the air horn of the dump truck that's about to run you over?

Stay safe, mang.

To be honest I like your bike better than anything Victory has to offer. You have a very good looking ride. Just my 2 cents

What ya ride man?

Edit: phone won't show your album, either way hope the sun and summer kicks ass for us riding. I can't wait. I need new tires though and get the bike balanced. Got a friend who owns a shop so gonna head there next week.

My goals to take RT 66 soon all the way to Cali. I live 10 mins Away from the road so no excuse! A guy I know rode it on a sportster when he graduated college few years back.

Lmk if you're going to visit the Bay Area. These days I only ride dirt bikes, I don't like my chances on the street.

Depends how much time you have. Big Sur is mandatory, hike Mt. Tam in the morning then head to Stinson Beach for lunch, Napa, Sonoma, Golden Gate Park, walk around North Beach, Ferry Building, lunch at Sam's in Tiburon.

Not mandatory: fisherman's wharf, Alcatraz

If you have time I would add Yosemite National Park to that list as a must do. Alcatraz is still a pretty good tour but not near as good since the Indians took it over and torched everything.

A buddy of mine laid down his bike recently to avoid a crash with an asshole in a car that didn't see him. Cracked his ribs.

Didn't catch the car type, but my money is on a BMW or Prius.

Agreed - I would place at Yosemite #1 place to visit in Nor-Cal.
