Haha, my first post was on role models. It's really good, lots of humor where you feel so bad for paul rudd that it's hard to watch, but still had some damn funny parts to it.

I thought in your first post you were talking about I Love you Man?

Haha you're right, I got them mixed up in the head.

I'm the moron now. Darn it.

Role models was pretty good too. Not so much awkward humor as I love you man, but still pretty funny. I think for me it was overshadowed a bit by the fact that it came out right around Zach and Miri make a Porno which I found to be much funnier.

Pretty much anything with Paul Rudd is solid.

Agreed, he's quickly becoming one of my favourite comedy actors.

Wasn't so high on Zack and Miri myself and I'm beginning to dislike Seth Rogen more and more now that I no longer see him as a decent actor playing a stoner, but rather a stoner playing himself. I did like the idea of Zack and Miri but it didn't work for me, the story ended up very predictable and it was hard to get emotionally invested in the characters.

While I agree with you a bit on your points here, in a comedic movie this didn't really hurt the movie for me. I didn't really feel I needed to believe all that much in the characters for it to be really funny. It was just funny. Definitely not a sophisticated humor or subtle humor funny though.

I think Rogen is starting to take on a few too many roles too and become overexposed which is an issue.

I think it has some potential. I'm not sure if it looks a little too teenie bopperish to me, but it still looked like it would definitely have it's moments.

Movies I'm looking forward to this summer (in no particular order that I remember off the top of my head):

Terminator Salvation
Star Trek (the trailer has won me over a bit whereas I wasn't before)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Wolverine
Up
Year 1
Public Enemies
Harry Potter 6
Funny People

Ain't It Cool has a nice interview with the director of Adventureland today.

I really want to see the movie, but I'm not expecting a laugh riot. It seems more like it's the director's love letter to 1980's adolescence. It's definitely not Superbad Part 2.

Adventureland looks decent. Seth Rogen's new movie where he's a security guard looks funny. I love in the preview when he's talking to the twins and he says you two are my infantry and if one of tyou die God gave me another one and they just say Ok. Hilarious.

I was a little luke warm on that one. It had potential, but I think it's a bit too close to mall cop for me given what a bust that was.

I've been digging anything with Rudd and Rogen lately. They've pretty much got the comedy market covered.

2009 doesn't look like being much of a year for movies but the three I bolded as well as Inglorious Basterds are the films I'm most looking forward to. I'm also really excited about the prospect of the Arrested Development movie whenever/if ever it gets made.

Lucky you Dpauley. I watched the whole thing. Best part of the movie sadly was when he fought that obese woman in Victoria secret.
