I saw battle la last week. Great action. But they should have cut out most of the talking scenes. Very cliche. Ranting out losing marines for 5 minutes then ending the conversation (with cheesy music in the background) by saying "but that doesn't matter right now". Then why did you say it? They tried hard to add a back story into the movie. I don't think it was needed. The movie was awesome still.

Agreed.

"The Cove" - Excellent documentary about the dolphin slaughter in Japan. Pretty disturbing. I think there may have been a thread about in IHN awhile ago, but I finally got around to seeing it.

I watched "13 Assassins" on Demand.

Fucking Badass movie, the action is incredible. Totally in the Spirit of akira kurosawa's classics.

Can you narrow it down?

Personal finance? Credit cards? Banks?

Economics-- US level, state level, foreign?

There may be some programs (in general) on this site.

Exit Through the Gift Shop - excellent documentary on street art. Mainly about a guy who's a bit out there who turns into a successful street artist over night, much to the chagrin of those who inadvertently helped him get there. The movie is available streaming on Netflix.

The industry of child beauty pageants.

It's called Living Dolls.

Don't know if you saw this, but thought it was pretty funny.

These shows always have bothered me. Another movie that I loved was Little Miss Sunshine. Touched a bit on this subject. I'm sure there's a lot of underlying psychological things going on that make someone want to put a child through these things.

Watched the Thin Blue Line last night.

It's a documentary on a police officer that was murdered in Dallas, and the botched trial that sent the wrong man to prison.

I need to find Gates of Heaven.

It's a documentary on pet cemeteries.

Has Catfish ever been discussed in here?

I think so. I read a spoiler which made me kind of glad I didn't go to the theater to see. Probably just wait for Netflix.

What are you thoughts on it Nana?

Saw Restrepo over the weekend. Can you ever say you enjoyed a documentary on soldiers fighting in a war?

It was very interesting and enlightening and kept me engaged the whole movie.
